Federal martial law will be declared by next weekend. Mark my words.

I still can't believe people do not understand that most of us will live through it just fine, but by us getting it and having to go to the hospital it will take the necessary staff and supplies away from the ones who NEED it to survive. The healthcare system is not designed to handle a mass surge like this. Declare martial law, and get the Guard and reserve medics and hospital units mobilized and setup NOW... See OND's post above mine

I'm at high risk of dying from it because of my stroke.

I hope I can still graduate from college in May, (my school closed this past week and will be going to online format) and on a brighter note, I got accepted into two Grad schools this past week..Yay!

Illinois bars and restaraunts closed at end of day tomorrow.

Will still be allowed for drive thru and curb side pick up, maybe delivery but was not mentioned.

Ended prohibition on overnight food deliveries for supermarkets/stores.

Wonder if this new bar/restaraunt trend will be made nationally at the WH task force news conference coming up in 10 minutes or so.

    I have my vote now

Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt said, "Eating with my kids and all my fellow Oklahomans at the @CollectiveOKC. It's packed tonight!"

    It's bob

Never knew eating would be so problematic. Not sure how it works anymore.

Do I go with what I'm in the mood for, expiration date, what I have the most of, empty the freezer first in case of power outage......

    Good grief

Also going to affect turkey seasons in southern zone and potentially northern zone as well that starts April 13th for public lands.

    And no fishing either.

Also, I knew the social distance would not work here in American, we are too selfish as a nation these days. This winter a natural gas station had an accident that shut down two main components. We were asked by Gov. to reduce to 65 degrees for those of us with natural gas. The comments from people were amazing to me, I knew then we were screwed if something really big came up.

From the hoarding to those still going out, this is us America.

So I had trips planned and reservations made, Delta was very easy to work with and cancelling flights and refunds. The people at Hilton were not so much. They outright told me that my reservations were not able to be cancelled with out cost. I have learned that when dealing with people like this to save my breath, connect me with your boss. I explained that as a person that spent 70 nights in Hilton hotels last year that it makes no sense that a company would chose to disappoint a loyal customer to profit from the current health crisis. I was polite did not raise my voice or curse, pretty sure my blood pressure was not elevated. Reservations cancelled at zero cost.

    BINGO

IL didn't need to shut down restaurants and bars, but people were too stupid and stubborn to heed the warnings on their own. So after Saturday night when bars in Chicago were packed with idiots parting for St. Patrick's Day, they shut it all down. As some put it, "the Governor grounded us".

We have a small office of fewer than 10 people and have given everyone the opportunity to work remotely if they want. It's about a 60/40 split right now with most still coming in. I'll likely continue to do the same until there is reason to do otherwise.

I stopped at the grocery store to grab a couple of staples this morning and it was pretty well business as usual. I was able to get my milk, bananas, bread and extra Sunny D for the kids since they're stuck at home for the next few weeks.

If nothing else, I plan on getting a lot of treestand prep work done while the weather is cool since there's nothing else to do on the weekends.

Funny when the company shut down all travel I volunteered to be the designated traveler because I had already been traveling, my wife lost her **** and said I can stay in a hotel when I am in town. Funny, as soon as school was canceled she was looking at Florida flights.

Wifes co-worker spent 2 weeks in the Keys. Flew through Miami there and back. Doesn't think she needs to stay home. I have no words....yes I do. They just won't come through in a forum.

We just shut down operations for two weeks. Shortest Monday at the office, ever.

My simple email griping to my branch chief highlighting the lack of short, sweet and clear direction on telework was forwarded up the chain to top leadership and spun off 2 meetings. I just blew some stuff up and walked off. . Seriously tho the long winded emails called guidance were tiptoeing around things in lawyer speak. Just tell people to stay home and work if you can. Sheesh.

Deleted my previous comment, Pritzker will hold a presser at 2:30 from Chicago. So that debunked half of it already.
