Perhaps people should stop looking at the Feds and start eyeing what their state and local municipalities are doing. Our locals here are doing well but let me say it is unconcievable that Cuomo would ban Dr ' s. From treating non hospitalized people at high risk with the malaria regimine. Especially when people are told to stay home until their breathing is bad.
I have had breathing issues all my life. Nothing any tests can pin point and nothing they can say what triggers it. Just 2 episodes, my breathing suddenly became difficult and I owned a day care. By the time I got help to care for kids and drove to Dr office I collapsed as I walked into office. Dr. gave me oxygen and I think every inhaler he had then told me with a worried look he called the ambulance. 3 hours in they got it under control but almost trached me because my airway was closing. sent me home with an inhaler and meds for what they thought was an upper respiratory infection ,yet it was sudden on set . . Later ran into EMT and he said you really have no idea how bad you were do you. Nope.
Then while at a sleep clinic getting results I had another episode, scared hell Out of them but refused ambulance and drove to Dr. Near by. Given oxygen and inhaler. Then sent for a lung capacity test and ex rays, and an allergist. Everything fine, good lungs. Though I do get upper respiratory infections easily. I 've had pneumonia 4 times since I was 9 and hospitalised 2 times with it. I do not smoke...anything. As a young child 5-7 I would just stop breathing...sending parents into a panic. Dr. finally told them just watch her closely and gave them a time limit for me to start again. No cause for any of this EVER found, just happens. I am surprised SIDs never got me.

So to the above, telling people like me your not allowed treatment immediately if diagnosed or present with symptoms, wait till things are really difficult, your Dr. isn't allowed to prescribe is a possible death sentence for no good reason.

Question: If I ignore someone on the forum, do I still see everyone’s quotes and responses to their posts?

While I think being able to rubber stamp people as infected or not for a moment of time would be nice. I think the notion that testing everyone somehow prevents the spread on a large scale is misguided.
First of all your not going to be able to test everyone.
We can’t get people to social distance how do you really think healthy people are going to to get swabbed or have their blood drawn?

Saw an interesting story on ABC News last night about South Korea and why they have such low numbers, lit of different factors at play. They all have N95 masks to begin with and it's nothing new to wear them in public, even Kpop fans wear them as some sorta fashion statement. The government made it mandatory to wear them in public right off the bat. What impressed me the most was a monitor that took your body temp before you went into the grocery store, a alarm goes off if you are running a temp and you do not go in. Seems like they have way better technology and its what's making the difference. Pretty impressive really.

So how many out there have their grocery store's not only having plexi glass protection and using plastic bags again, but monitoring people entering the store. I was very impressed that ours allowed just 12 at a time for the size of the store. It's not a Wegmans super store but still a good sized Surefine market.
    What are you seeing?

To your point about testing telling you where the virus is. It tells you where the virus was.
Policy should be driven by all the available information. We have had time relative to other countries to enact some preventive measures (social distancing etc) that will slow the spread on a larger scale.

Not everyone likes, understands, or tolerates my admitted long posts. Let alone my opinion, thats just life. Though understanding the inability to just skip them for some is a puzzle.

I am seeing none of this at any supermarket here. The governor issued the shelter in place at the beginning of the week with restrictions like only one person per household can go out for essential supplies. The majority of Oklahomans are just naturally stupid, so while at the grocery store the other day it was couples and whole families, kids touching everything in sight but you cant fix stupid. I just left and sat in my truck for 15 minutes with my ozone generator running before going home. Today I'm wearing my old biological warfare gear to the store, double can face mask and all. I refuse to let the stupidity and shortcomings of others effect my quality of life. The gloves are a little bulky in that outfit but I'm sure people will be able to tell I'm giving them the middle finger.

Nothing like that here in central MN. I do believe our governor has done a decent job thus far and the citizens are listening to orders to stay home as much as they are able.

It’s been like that in PA, but not quite as severe.

I’ve been working in FL for the last two weeks though, people still act as if nothing is going on here. The gov just issued a stay at home order. But people are just going on about their day like normal.

My son works part time at a small town (3K people) grocery store. They have plexiglass shields in place. They sanitize the POS machine after each use. 6 foot markers on the floor.

The local Menards is doing the same minus the shields.

I know the store owner, actually good family friend. He doesn't handle the daily store stuff actually, lives most of the time in Florida. So this was I'm sure an employee, management call. Though he really is good to his people. That county has had a tripling in cases over night, though in the city where weeks ago state trooper had to be positioned outside and in a wegmans and walmart. Thats about thirty miles away. We are on a 3 county connection, litierally the one we pay taxes in has maintained stable numbers no deaths so far. Where the other two are up ticking daily.
