England is shutting it all down, the masks, the vaccine passports, restrictions. The Brits figured it all out before the rest.

 

Many of our counties are refusing to follow the new Governors no mask mandate for school kids.

 

MIL ordered those at home COVID tests for us, didn't ask, just did and called to tell us how helpful she is being. I told my wife I do not give a sh*t and to throw them in the trash. Is COVID real? Yes. Are we vulnerable to serious health complications from it? No, had it, over it, moving on, save the resources for those who truly need it. Quit being foolish and wasteful.

 

The home tests are dumb, you test positive you still have to go in for a test.

Remember when I said I was having weird vision problems with my right eye since taking that high dose prednisone?

In the last 3 days alone my right eye has developed dozens of those black floaters and dozens more black cloudy dots. I don't know if any of you have ever experienced anything like this. Cataract?

 

My understanding has always been that severe side effects are usually only associated with long-term use of high-dose steroids. We're talking a year, or several years, of sustained use at a high level. The typical 5-10 day course of prednisone doesn't usually cause severe issues.

Although I would certainly get that checked out if you can. Not to freak you out but my stepdad has macular degeneration which began with dark, cloudy dots mostly in the center of his vision.

Not cataract. My wife described cataracts as 'dirty windows'... Post surgery, she realized how bad her vision was.

I notice my floaters in bright lights.

If it gets worse or seems problematic... Well, go see the doc...

 

I was just talking to another parent last night at my son's karate class. Her and her husband had just recently started looking into a Hawaii vacation, but she said they heard about the new requirements implemented and said to heck with that plan. They were more upset about having to get their kids vaccinated, I guess one of the requirements is anyone over the age of 5 has to have had the shots.
I think Hawaii is going to see quite the drop in tourist $$ over this.

 

I developed floaters and spider webs years ago...actually started when I lost my mind and all body functions when having a crazy big buck appear under me at full draw on a doe. Went to Dr. And my BP was dangerously high ...immediate pill in office high. Had to be on BP meds for years unroll last year now now meds. Eye Dr said it's common as you age and can clear up...mine did clear when I got BP finally normal and off meds.
