new one for me - my buddy who had C19 back in April/May of 20 just got the 'Vid again. I've mentioned him before, mid 30s and a triathlete. He had a pretty bad case the first time around, almost but did not end up in the hospital.

Just got his second dose of Pfizer 2 weeks ago. He's assuming it's Omicron this time around. Says it's like a bad cold this time.

He's hoping this round makes his smell and taste come back.

Interesting tid-bit, we had New Year's with my in-laws. Brother in law had COVID around Thanksgiving along with his wife and her family. They all recovered. He didn't have smell and went to the chiropractor. They pushed something inside his mouth (roof) - and it instantly came back! Not sure if it's all cases, as we tried googling it NYE and didn't find much - but it worked for him.

Had an idiot come in to work today. He stated that his daughters that live with him tested positive, he was waiting on test results. Go the hell home until you have test results.

I believe that. The weird pressurized burning sensation that preceded me losing my smell was oriented from my tonsils to my soft palate.

    what an a*hole.

My wife was only symptomatic for about 48 hours before I started experiencing symptoms, which based on incubation time frames means she was infectious at least 1 full day (likely 2 or even more days) before she was symptomatic.

Diagram failed to label the Uvula, do you have a reference for where this diagram came from? It may be from a witch doctor.

Our health department is saying if you're fully vaccinated - you can continue to work unless showing symptoms.

That's the way my work is, if you are vaccinated and exposed come to work and wear a mask if no symptoms. They adhere to CDC guidlines so it has to be from there, they've been doing so for about 5-6 weeks now. Hell, health dept. doesn't even contact you for nearly 5 days after a positive test.

CDC has already proven they no longer base their guidelines on science, the new 5 day isolation guidelines are based on what they feel the public can endure. Must be getting a lot of conplaints from those getting it even while doing everything Fauxi has told them to do.

How stupid is our government in blindly giving out massive covid relief funds to people? Every day now I see a headline where some turd scammed millions. Had to present no proof to receive funds. What an idiotic government to trust in people to be truthful.

I had whatever it is when they hook up those electrical leads and read your heart. Haha.

The more I read about it the more I think I may have gotten mono. Hell I have no idea. This is just unlike me to lay around for days with no energy.

When they hook up leads and it lasts less than about 20sec, it's an EKG. When they do an echo, there's a probe they move around your chest with a gel substance on it. It takes longer to do those. It resembles what they do to women when they are pregnant. I hope you get to the bottom of this.
