This AM I missed a call from 'COVID Contact' with a local area code. ...12 days after I received my positive test results.
I was at the mall of America on Friday (no I was not involved in the shooting, I left like 15 minutes before it happened) by the covid psychosis is real and frankly sad to see. Many different aspects. Some families completely unmasked, some families double masked and or shielded, some adults unmasked holding hands of children that were double masked and or shielded, some adult couples with one person unmasked holding hands with another person double masked and or shielded. Those were some of the extremes that I saw. The saddest one I saw was while sitting down to eat a burger two moms (I don’t think they were a couple) with about 6 kids they were watching roughly early teenagers. One of the moms sat there and hounded two of the kids to mask up in between bites whilst the other 4 sat there with masks below their chins the whole time. I am all for do what’s best for you and your family but the mask crowd died on the hill of “your mask doesn’t protect you it protects everyone else, so stop killing grandmas!” A long time ago. I will give credit to the hand full of people wearing N95’s and KN95’s, those may actually do something but there were very few wearing those.
I still do not feel the same after getting sick 2 months ago. The last 3 days I've had very little energy again.. Laying on the couch and sleeping. Only productive thing I've done since Fri is put together a big soccer goal.
sooooo, masks dont work ??!! .... who knew ... Cloth masks do not protect against omicron, report says Single-layer cloth masks do not provide adequate protection against the very infectious omicron variant of COVID-19, according to a recent Wall Street Journal report. Many infectious disease experts noted people prefer cloth masks because they are more comfortable and fashionable to wear, but these masks can only block larger droplets of COVID-19, not smaller aerosols or particles that can also carry the virus.
SecDef Austin just tested positive, experiencing mild symptoms. "As my doctor made clear to me, my fully vaccinated status — and the booster I received in early October — have rendered the infection much more mild than it would otherwise have been. And I am grateful for that," Austin said. is his doctor Ms. Cleo? There is literally no way to prove that, and even if he has Delta he statistically he has almost no chance of serious symptoms. He's under 70 and ostensibly in good overall health- a statistical zero percent chance of death, and less than a 3% chance of hospitalization. If he had Omicron, he is completely full of $hit. OK, I am going with he's full of $hit either way. Effing BigPharma $hill.
I work in a hospital/med school but not in patient care. If you are not in direct contact with COVID patients, you are not front line. I would never call myself frontline.
That is true. Although they said they couldnt tell if I had mono. My energy is terrible and I'm doing the right things.
I'm not looking forward to wearing an N95 for a couple hours flying economy in the back of a full flight. Hopefully this last minute trip to Florida will be worth it. Hopefully we can get a morning of inshore or Bass fishing in.
Echo? I had a patient in his early thirties with a cardiomyopathy after covid that was pretty impressive. He couldn't walk across a room without getting SOB. He did recover but it took several months.
