What do you think the side effects of drinking while taking horse pills would be? :P Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I lost taste and smell the 2nd day as well. Know exactly what you mean about how weird it is, and that it made eating seem like a chore. You can tell that bacon is salty or maple syrup is sweet, but zero flavor. I'd feel hungry, but often times wouldn't bother to eat because there was no enjoyment. You are a "foodie" if eating is nothing but a chore if you don't get to experience the flavor ha ha. I had taste back within 5 or 6 days, but smell took much longer. I could smell faint smells after a couple weeks, but for a good 3 months it was messed up. Some days I'd notice a strong smell, like coffee or something, and realize I hadn't smelled anything that strongly (aka, normal) for several days. Then several more days would go by and then it'd happen again with something else. It was a solid 3 months before it was finally back to normal, maybe even a bit longer than that.
Well they are rewriting 1984 from a woman's perspective, the very definition of ironic. Amazes me how easily people will give up their liberty when the government says it is for our own good. I also look at the current mandate and have to ponder why is it needed. I look at the numbers of cases the spikes and think there is no way in hell I am going to any crowded public space. The mandates are needed to keep idiots safe.
So 4 days after testing positive the Dept. Of Public Health finally contacted me. Will start getting a questionaire to fill out tomorrow and each day thereafter. Once I have no symptoms and the 10 days have passed they will release me from quarantine. Smell and taste are not a symptom that keep you in isolation.
The IL dept of health texted me every day after they found out about my positive test. That was after my 30-minute phone call interrogation with some dude who definitely did not live in the US. I may or may not have lied during most of my questioning and text surveys. EDIT: During my phone interrogation they asked me if I'd left the house. I told them no, but I was talking on the phone while driving home from my lease where I had just gone hunting. My symptoms were very similar to Dnudes - nothing more than a head cold and an annoying cough. I hunted pretty much every afternoon during my quarantine and was oozing C19 all over the woods, no doubt infecting my local deer herd. Wife contracted it from me and she lost taste/smell, but I never did. Took her a solid 6 weeks to get it back, so be prepared!
woke up at 5am today with a sore throat, could not go back to sleep so I putzed around on the internet for a bit, finally fell back asleep around 8 and didn't wake up until 11a on the dot. Sore throat's gone, I seem to be coughing more this AM but it's productive and I don't feel bad at all. Taste and smell is still good.
Covid bit me today. Spent a few hours last night slicing some of the 15lbs of deer meat I'm thawing for jerky. Got 6lbs sliced and gave up for the night. Was doing 15lbs as I have a jerky kit for it, but opted just to get the 6lbs marinated. Mixed everything up in a bowl and dipped a fork in to taste it. Dumbass, you can't taste anything. Got it into a gallon ziploc and in the fridge and realized I had forgotten liquid smoke and brown sugar, mixed it up separately and mixed it in. Hopefully it works but no clue how it's going to taste.
We have known this for 2 years.... but hey thanks "Cloth masks are little more than facial decorations. There's no place for them in light of Omicron," Wen, a medical analyst for CNN, told the network on Monday. "Wear a high-quality mask, at least a three-ply surgical mask."
Taking a step in the wrong direction today. Was feeling good yesterday. Nose had cleared up and cough was easing up. Today it's trying to get into my lungs, doing my best to keep them clear, getting harder as the day progresses. Physically I feel fine, just the chet congestion that is trying to build.
that and zinc, Vitamins C, D. Huff that vapo rub. I am status quo, my wife lost her sense of smell this AM (6 days after she first had symptoms.) Her sense of smell is really weak anyway, but she can't even smell perfume.
Been taking the Zinc, C and D3 every 6 hours. Zinc amd D3 say once daily, basically taking it 3 times a day, do not set alarm to take overnight. Cough drops have been my mostly needed supply. On my 3rd bag now, one left after it.
Haha Now cdc just changed the guidelines for front line workers due to staff shortages. 7 days down from 10 on quarantine.
