Should also note that was the urgent care. Just got off the phone with my Dr.'s office and they are going to relay the information to him and see if he wants to administer anything.

Cornell. 97% vaccination rate. 1600 students and growing contracted covid this past week.

Denmark covid study showing that vaccinated and unvaccinated are contracting and transmitting covid at the same rate.

I am starting to think even covid doesn't want anything to do with me.

Go get the booster, got it at 12:30pm Friday. Woke up early Sunday morning with scratchy throat, throughout the day my nos started getting stuffy. Woke up this morning to a sore throat, congested cough and 100.6 tenperature at 5am. Text my supervisor to let him know and tried to go back to sleep. By the time Urgent Care opened at 8am I was having body aches.

Currently nasal passages are clear, have a congestive cough, body aches and a slight headache.

When I got the booster, I told the pharmacist that the 2nd shot felt like someone punched me in the arm. She said, "well this one is going to feel like 2 people punched you". She didn't mention in the arm though.

That's a negative there. My aunt(where I hunt) just lost her brother to Covid a couple weeks ago. 3 months before that she lost he mom(not Covid). Just feel it would be disrespectful to her

Not preventative, but perhaps reactive...much like tylenol or ibuprofen

I am finding that out for sure here in about 2 hours, but i think you are correct.
100* fever and it feels kind of like I have gout everywhere. Cough/lungs arent too bad. Yet.

Mrs. Noodles' is better except now she has a sore throat, which is causing her to speak less and more quietly. So I have that going for me.

I've lost my sense of smell, that is a really odd reality, not sure about taste. Can tell I have a cough drop in my mouth so can still sense the menthol.

Guessing I won't have it back before Friday, so having a Christmas meal dropped up will be kinda pointless. Won't be making chex mix now either.

    Damn you Fauxi and China!!!

Taste gone too. Just ate a pickle slice. Could tell what I was eating and that it was acidic. Just weird not having an aftertaste

That and your sense of humor is still intact. May need that in the next 10 days. Hope you both recover quickly.

I used ginger and lemon to aid in restoration of my taste buds and smell. (Homeade lemon-ginger tea)
Have heard apple cider vinegar helps too.
Took me about a week to get taste back. And about 2 weeks to fully restore smell.

was told by a cop friend of mine that after a month, his taste and smell was still gone. Then he was doing some training for SWAT and he got a heavy dose of CS gas- his sinuses completely flushed out and immediately he had his senses back.

So while not all of you have access to CS, you could probably get your hands on and try a neti pot or Lavage. Or hit yourself with some pepper spray.

honestly other than the fever, so far it's very similar to and I have had much worse hangovers than this. It's like a hangover at the end of a cold.

    But it's only day 1.
