I will disagree with you there. Kids are really effed up by all this broadly and generally, and we know that kids are at an effective risk rate of zero anyway. There is a lot of harm being done to those kids who are prohibeted from playing. so there is nothing to be gained by keeping them from playing, and it's good to encourage kids to be social and physically active.

Is your wife old with health problems? Does your kid's grandparent teach at school? Do you also keep your kids away from old, unhealthy school faculty which was the main point when I replied? How accurate is the testing? Our granddaughter tested positive when she got sick. Slight symptoms and felt better within a couple days. My daughter and son-in-law got sick with a lot worse symptoms for days and yet tested negative. Oh and all were vaccinated. Now they have had their first booster. Neither had underlaying health conditions. The one guy ended back in the hospital when he got covid shortly after receiving the second shot.
