Running is so important as a young kid. Simply engaging your kids to run around with friends and to celebrate a good run makes kids healthier for life. Many young kids dont even know how to run...they look so awkward I feel bad for them and their long term health.

I would probably take the question one step further...if you are going to get tested, and lets say it came back positive, then what would you do? If you just went back home to try and self treat and recover on your own, then no point in getting tested. Just go straight to the self treatment anyway. If it is to try and pursue treatment from a medical facility, then get the test, cause they wont treat you for it unless its test confirmed anyway.
I'd get tested either way. Have 30 hours Covid pay left and only way to get it is to be tested and medical isolation until results, or tested positive and isolated. I would not lock myself in my house, or quarantine if you will. I would isolate. I'd still go hunting, go for a drive or whatever else I could do contactless. Several times now I have went through the drive thru at Walgreens and the person in front of me does a drive through test. Test is given to the customer/patient through the slide out drawer. They open and swab each nostril then put it back in the quick tear package. Customer/patient doesn't wear gloves or sanitize hands when handling the bin everything is in. Pharmacist has on latex gloves, places the bin the swab is in on the counter, removes gloves and serves the next customer. Not in all the safety measure gear nurses are in when I've been tested the previous 3 times. Last one wasn't even wearing a mask, was down around chin.
The African countries are claiming (and I have not seen it refuted) the O variant has since been determined to be in Sweden weeks ago. My point was it's already being spread person to person here in US.
