Same here man. In 2009 I went and visited my dad in Texas. The morning of my plane departing I got real sick. Im talking the worst sickness of my life. Migraine headache for over two days and just all over horrible. Nothing I took did anything and I should have just gone immediately to the hospital. Now this was stupid, but I got on the plane and flew all the way to DC. I didn't have the money for more plane tickets and needed to get back to work. I bet I had an awful flu strain and over the course of a month I lost twenty lbs. I couldn't walk more than a quarter mile before I felt like death. I only missed one day of work. Like many of you guys, I just suffered in silence and dealt with it.
So Cuomo's baby bro got it. If I were Chris I'd be a bit miffed at Andy. He waxed on about his brother at the news conference like he was giving his Obit.
That is a good thing. A great thing. The best thing. More people who are aware and are taking the right precautions the better.
Ok all you guys in other state need to listen closely and keep an eye on your officials. Cuomo slid in this" I don't need FMA coming in and mucking up my plans."..then went on to say there are no more public and private hospitals there are no more regional health care systems . You all need to watch what we do ,it's all one system now. So whats this?..socialized medicine. In this state don't think for a moment that this doesn't mean down state is by far more important than up state. Just like NYC is more important than all cities across the country in his eyes. This isnt we are all in it together for him.
That wasn't the point. They think if they take a week off now they're safe or something months down the road. Half of them just want time off because they are lazy. They don't realize the implications that can result by us losing jobs to other manufacturers. Their job may not be here when they decide to come back. I mentioned Monday of last week a coworker who was upset that we were staying open conviniently had his boots stolen. Took the entire week off. Miraculously showed up today with his boots on. You would have to isolate yourself for 8-13 months or longer to completely avoid possible infection. And that's never leaving your home or grabbing the mail or other packages delivered.
This was sent out to healthcare workers yesterday. Was not sent to me, niece shared it from one of her friends.
Well, this isn't the news I was wanting to see. We ship a lot of parts to building KK. Trickle down effect will eventually impact us, just nit sure when or how. https://www.pjstar.com/news/2020033...ers-because-of-economic-and-covid-19-concerns
There may be a retirement on the horizon.... And it won't bother me in the least, regardless of the 401k right now.
Believe he said 300ish today Including those near end of sentence , pregnant inmates , non domestic violence inmates and those with somewhere to go Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
So county north of us released 50 inmates 9 that were sex offenders. Now they put them up in a hotel on the edge of a neighbor hood. Hundreds of feet from a school. Ya schools closed but they never warned the towns chief of police that this was happening. Afraid these poor guys may get the virus....even though no cases at all in the county jail. Oh all including the level 3 sex offenders were parole violators.
If it's any consolation (and I know that won't pay bills), the talking heads on CNBC were talking that they thought heavy equipment & construction would be two sectors to rebound coming out of this mess. Autos another sector, since lines are idled and folks replace vehicles on about a 7 yr cycle...thinking there will be pent up demand... I take this hype with grain of salt, but i could also imagine some M&A opportunities for any companies able to hold cash/value.
I have no doubts that it will rebound, especially now with Trump pitching a multi-trillion infrastructure bill as phase 4 and I think it's safe to say Democrats will jump at the chance. Right now, those layoffs have nothing to do with work we are doing. I'm looking 4-7 months down the line when the ripples in the economy start effecting things. Back in 2012-2013 we went from nearly 300 employees down to about 20-25. We're just now getting to that 200-250 number again. As hard as it is to find skilled labor anymore, add in the state of IL's economic failings before this virus, and all the skilled labor leaving the state I fear it could sink my workplace for good this time.
“This is no worse than the flu.” 80% of my social media feeds not even 2 weeks ago . Not even going to worry about going back and calling them all out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
