My boys' school would send everyone in the class home for two weeks because one kid tested positive until they realized there were multiple times that only the one positive kid would test positive for the entire two week quarantine. Now, they just send home the positive kid and the few that sit within 6 feet. Only a few kids have to quarantine instead of the whole class. Infection rates have remained at the same ridiculously low level and less people are having their lives interrupted due to quarantine.
