Unfortunately, it's a bit of a misnomer, although it may "technically" be true. Although I don't believe there is a widespread belief that people who are against the C19 vaccinations are "anti-vaxxers" in the traditional sense. It's just an easy thing to say during a conversation, and we all know what the meaning is. Great point, and that's a question I've been asking myself. If you've had C19 and developed natural immunity of some sort, why get the vaccine? Seems a bit unnecessary to me. But, I'm also not a doctor, so I'm not dead-set that my idea is rooted in any sort of science. Another great question. One that we should be asking both our elected leaders as well as our business leaders. Another great question that I've been asking all along. We don't demonize people who lead excessively unhealthy lifestyles and put massive drain on our healthcare system. Why demonize people who elect to not get vaccinated? We've never had a pandemic that killed over 4 million people in under 2 years either. Although I don't believe we should be forcing anyone to do anything, we can't discount the fact that this is the largest worldwide health crisis we've ever been a part of. Why isn't it a valid comparison? I've been alive almost 41 years and have never known a single person who has died from the flu. I personally know a half dozen that died from C19 in the last 18 months and have connections to at least as many more through close friends and extended family. While it may not be as dangerous as we initially thought it was going to be, it's proven to be a hell of a lot more dangerous than the flu. Agreed, and it's a very slippery slope we're on right now.
A lot of similarities can still be made between the 2, such as impact to the most at risk groups, and the concept of a shot to limit exposure symptoms to both can be made for flu and covid. I'm saying it is a valid comparison and you are correct, the main difference being the morbidity rate. Not saying they're the same but tired of that being dismissed from debate. Politically, the different approach between the two is obvious to me. Also a fun little idea. I'm not aware of any virus that mutated to a more deadly strain, but hey, I'm not a scientist so everything I've read is of course invalid and the musings of a tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist drinking the gravy. Is that US numbers or world numbers? The influenza pandemic of 1918 killed a conservatively estimated 25 million worldwide in 18 months. Roughly 3% of the world's population at the time. Hence, the flu shot, which according to the CDC via a quick google search, wasn't figured out until the 1940s. I am complete agree with your point about not forcing anyone to vaccinate against their personal choice. However, as a species, humans have faced these illnesses before. What we have not had is the technology to allow so many to voice their opinions as facts, even when they are completely unqualified to do so.
And I even seen a talking head in the past 2 days stating that the reason it is so imperative for everyone to be vaccinated is to keep the Delta variant from mutating to an even more aggressive variant. Enter the Columbian variant....
Now I'm making myself wonder. They say the virus is seeking the unvaccinated as if it is a predator stalking its prey. What happens if two variants mate?
Antibiotic resistance could be the mutation trigger that make Delta more viral.. not more deadly.. more viral. Hence surge numbers
Didn't stop my wife's distant cousins, they met at a family reunion...we don't go to family reunions for her side of the family.
Well, the cousins are from a small town in rural Arkansas. It was the one and only time I have met them.
The teachers' unions are refusing to go back to school until your children receive a shot that has a 10% "serious" adverse effect rate and has killed at least 14 in 3 months to sort of inoculate them from a virus which has 'killed' (meaning "died with") only 350 in 18 months. https://link.theepochtimes.com/mkt_...lammation-after-covid-19-vaccine_3928019.html So, the "vaccines" are statistically every bit as dangerous to children as the virus.
