UK is reporting at least that high (Delta infections/hospitalization rate regardless of vax status) ...it's still all busslhit.
no, who? Who hasn't? Conservatives and Black people? (in other words, people who justifiably distrust Big Government)?
@Germ- disregard; I now realize you were speaking directly @Sota regarding his business; not at the macro level.
Sorry, I don’t take anything serious directed at me. Misinformation is a serious issue and people are dying because of bad information. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
People aren't dying from misinformation, they are dying from a virus created in Wuhan, China. End of story, period.
Can you imagine if they shut down small businesses and schools again? They have already been talking about extending the unemployment bonus past the early Sept. expiration when there is no need to have it ongoing now. It's like they knew they were going to start reinstating restrictions so better get ahead of it. I'll keep reitterating my stance, this whole covid thing is a little too convenient for the left. At this point with all the spending they are wanting to do, it's as if they want to get the national debt so high they'll sell it/us to China. 60% of them are older than dirt and richer than the majority, the rest are indoctrinated half wits.
Lockdowns and restrictions, even though I disagreed with them, at least made some sort of sense when we had no vaccines or treatments for C-19. It was easy enough to explain that we had to protect everyone and this was the only way to do it. Many people disagreed, but it was a tough point to argue. Those who wanted a safety net (vaccine) didn't have one available, so we all suffered to "keep them safe". Now, we have vaccines that are readily available (for free) to anyone who wants them. Anyone who is concerned for their health due to C-19 infection has had ample opportunity to do so. If you're vaccinated and you believe the vaccine works, you have nothing left to fear. Those who are testing positive elected to not get vaccinated and knew full well what the risks of getting C-19 were. They are okay with their own personal health decisions, and we should be as well. So, what is the point of potentially locking down again? Why would we harm businesses and individuals to try and protect people who don't want or need to be protected? Oh, I know why. Because the government cares about you more than you care about yourself. And if you're not fit to make the right decisions about your health, they will make them for you!
I think it has come to the point they are trying to force the shots. I have never seen something being pushed for like this. A year and a half into it and they are acting like everything is still unknown. Hell, Cuomo is probably about to start filling up nursing homes again. Just think about how it was before and how wrong they got it. Hospital ships sent that were not used, mobile hospitals that were not used. They got Trump out of office with it, but that wasn't enough. They want more, more restrictions, more control, more fear and more importantly more rule.
I'm not as skeptical as a lot of people in that I don't believe this is a power grab for more control and more laws. I think most of those in charge truly believe they have some sort of moral obligation to "protect" people at all costs. That includes the people who are still scared for no reason (vaxxed people still wearing masks while driving alone in their cars) along with those who the government essentially labels as too dumb to care for themselves (the unvaccinated). The powers that be are convinced it's the government's obligation to do everything in their power (and beyond it) to keep people safe no matter the cost and regardless of whether people actually need or want to be protected. I don't believe it's about being hungry for power or getting their rocks off by controlling people. It's a misguided attempt at nobility and the worst large-scale case of virtue signaling we've ever seen. They want to win re-election and proving that they care about us all is the best way to do it. I'm surprised they don't say "this is going to hurt me more than it hurts you" in their press conferences.
