My issue is still.... This is not a vaccine people. My dad had polio, I can't get it because I was Vaccinated. This stuff is at best a Flu shot style approach that they admit might not do anything past 6 months. It's a collective hand job placating the ignorant masses. The staying home, mask bs did nothing. It was a nasty virus that ran it's course (yes it might be lingering). I have no issue with people getting the shot but until I need it I'll be here living how I have been. If you get the vaccine you can still contract and spread the virus. Just as I would without the shot. We are equal. Your body your choice my body my choice.

Vaccines have always varied in their efficacy. Some prevent you from contracting the disease at all (polio) while others boost your body's response to disease and therefore minimize its effect on your system (flu, covid). It is a common misconception that vaccines should be 100% effective at stopping contraction and transmission of disease.

We're about 9 months into the initial clinical trials and everyone is still hanging in there. Although you are correct - the possibility of booster shots being needed at some point is pretty good.

I never received my hand job. Who can I speak to about this?

I'll agree on this one. Very few of the measures put into place did much to actually stop the spread of COVID. I don't fault everyone for trying, but we missed the mark way more than we hit it.

IMO, nobody should have an issue with anyone else's decision to get vaccinated or not get vaccinated.

Not entirely true. While you "can" still contract and spread the virus once vaccinated, all signs show you have a substantially lower chance of this happening. This isn't an all-or-nothing comparison. An unvaccinated person exposed to C19 stands a pretty good chance of contracting it and then spreading it to others. A vaccinated person stands a much better chance of not getting it in the first place and thus not spreading it. That's one of the major reasons we get vaccinated.

    Agreed.

For the handy J please contact Germ. You just have to motivate each other with rhetoric and I'm sure he will treat that thing like a improperly wintered lawn mower and pull until "victory"

/Oh God, it's all Trump's fault, things cost this much before he took office, don't shoot over 40 yards, I HUNT PUBLIC!!!!!!!!!!

Said I was done with the thread but dammit, I can't.

We need to end the Pandemic, and the best way towards that is to change our way of thinking about it.

What we need to do is reimagine this virus. I'm positive that will make things better and lessen the constraints nation wide, hell, maybe even world wide.

Let's do it, let's get woke on Covid-19 and send it into the history books. Together we can make a difference.

At work we are all still wearing masks because 2 people will not get the shot. Going to put that out in an office wide memo today.

Be curious to see if this doesn't end up being the course of alot of places. Not that it's right or wrong, just meaning as another incentive for ppl to get the vaccine.

They're already trying free food, prizes, and few instance money like having a vax card is a raffle ticket.

I could always find a reason to fire them, neither individual is particularly valuable or motivated.
