This new CDC director talking to us like children in every one of her videos. "Hi guys, so covid 19 is a bad bad thing...do your part. Vaccinate. Have a good one guys" (all in a child's voice)
Well she speaks to all the idiots that blindly believe the CDC still... Like children doing as they are told

A kid on my son's baseball rec team popped positive yesterday. They practiced OUTSIDE on Saturday. The kid had no symptoms at the time, and they weren't in close contact with one another as they were playing a scrimmage game that day. League doesn't care - they shut the whole team down for 2 weeks. On top of that, he can't play with his travel team during that time either. The positive - more time to fish the next 2 weeks. The most frustrating thing about this entire pandemic has been people's perceived intolerance for personal decision-making and risk-taking. The powers that be (at all levels) are so consumed with protecting us from ourselves at all costs, that we've completely abandoned the idea that people can, and should, make decisions regarding their personal health and tolerance for risk on their own. Instead, we create absurd rules and guidelines that overstep rational precautions with no regard for the impact those decisions have on people. All in the name of "keeping us safe". But, do they REALLY care about keeping us safe? Want to jump out of plane with a parachute strapped to your back? Have at it. Want to ride a motorcycle around without a helmet on? Enjoy your ride! (here in IL, anyways) Want to drink yourself into liver failure and death? Have fun! Want to eat yourself into diabetes and obesity while putting a strain on our healthcare system along the way? You do you! Want to get pregnant and kill your baby because it's not convenient for you? Step right this way. We'll even help you pay for it! Want to get a group of kids together to play an outdoor sport? WAIT JUST A MINUTE! We can't allow this. It's for your own good! /end rant
Not sure if Ill this has been done, but in Michigan, our group is batting 1000 fore getting these quarantines stopped in cases like this.
How have you been going about doing this? My understanding is this quarantine is being enforced by the league, who says they're "just following guidelines from the CDC, and the state and local health authorities". Typical boiler-plate nonsense from someone who isn't getting paid enough to deal with this stuff.
In MN on Monday the department of health and state high school league sat opposing each other and pointed the finger at each other for 5 minutes until their time was up and they left everyone with what they knew prior to the discussion... NOTHING.
File an emergency injunction with the court to allow them back in. Being this is your league and not a school that is a bit different. In the cases I have watched once it was proven the athlete did not have covid they were allowed to play.

I talked to the VP of the league and made my position very clear. Unfortunately, it's not my league and it's not my call. These guys are tasked with trying to make decisions to appease all sides of the spectrum. Those of us who think it's a poor decision, and those who think it was the right decision. It's a tough spot to be in, knowing you're going to piss people off either way you go. I made my position clear that I disagree with their policy for a variety of reasons that I already covered. But, it's not my call, so we'll take our 2-week layoff and spend a little extra time on the water. Pre-spawn bass fishing should be getting good now that the water is warming up a bit.
Holy crap I got my second shot yesterday got home and felt great I did some yard work my arm didn't even hurt. I woke up at 1 am I do not believe that I ever puked that hard I had the dry heaves so bad it was giving me cramps, rupture a blood vessel in one of my eyes I puked so hard. Now I am just freezing and every single joint is on fire.
I thought after 2nd shot they want people to just chill..no physical exertion. Be careful man. If you need to go to the hospital, do it.
Been hearing of those kind of reactions with the second round of it. So much for your blood type keeping you safe!
Yeah just got home spent 8 hours in the ER, I could not keep fluids down. Got another covid test I am clean.
