It has been proven over and over that compared to the normal flu virus, the C19 virus poses much less risk to juveniles generally, and small children specifically. Yet 2 years ago if anyone had even pushed a "mask up" policy to protect the chilluns from the flu; they would have been laughed out of the room and rightfully so.
MN is going through a similar issue right now with documented emails between MDH employees about the election influencing guidelines and then also drumming up fear by associating youth sports to long term care outbreaks.
