Wonder if someone contracting covid after J&J shot is the same as if you got the shot after having had Covid. Heard there may be a potential link to people getting the shot after having it causing problems. The vaccine goes after remnants of the covid that is actually protecting the person or something. I'm not a medical scholar
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said Thursday that approximately 5,800 Americans are confirmed to have contracted COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated against the virus that causes it. Of the 5,800 fully vaccinated people who were confirmed as so-called breakthrough cases, nearly 400 required treatment at hospitals (7% - which if I recall correctly is appx. the same hospitalization rate for non-vaccinated positive cases) and 74 died (1.28% - appx. 2/3 the current non-vaxxed mortality rate.) I would have gotten the exact rates, but....
my privilege precludes me from understanding. Back to more oppressing matters, like finding videos of Jim Jordan carving Fausti apart like the suckling pig he is.
There is no such thing as fully vaccinated with any of these vaccines. Moderna is 95% effective. 95% is not 100%. The other brands of vaccines aren't that good. Please clairify the logic for me; take a vaccine that is 95% effective against a virus I have a 99.999% chance of making a full recovery. Fear is turning off people's critical thinking skills.
The CDC estimated as of 12/31/20 there were 83 million actual infections... I wonder why no one has touched on this in the media...
thank you! So before the vax was available, hospitalization rates for known infections were appx. 4% (all ages) - which is actually 40% LESS than those who are infected after being fully vaxxed. While known post-vax infection rates are hard to quantify as they are thought to be mostly asymptomatic; the hospitalization rates are much higher. Fausti was just in front of Congress yesterday and claimed that the "vax" suppresses symptoms to the point that infected become unwitting transmitters not realizing they are infected. Why can't they just admit that the "vax" is really just a way of pre-treating infection? You know, like taking quinine <ahem> before you go to a malaria hot spot? You'll still maybe get it a little bit but you probably won't notice it as much.
The little weasel couldn’t even give figures to shoot for to “return to normal” yesterday. Some sort of goal would be nice! 80% vaccinated and 1500 daily cases and declining? Something like that Mr. Fauci please! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Funny when covid first hit we were told not to go up to the cabin because you will bring covid with you and lake country hospitals would be over whelmed. Now we have people living in the suburbs driving up to get shots in lakes country.
I used wiki... sue me Tonic water (or Indian tonic water) is a carbonated soft drink in which quinine is dissolved. Originally used as a prophylactic against malaria, tonic water usually now has a significantly lower quinine content and is consumed for its distinctive bitter flavor, though it is nowadays also often sweetened. It is often used in mixed drinks, particularly in gin and tonic.
most tonic now uses inert quinine flavoring rather than the real deal. When you go to an area where malaria is endemic, you take malaria pills (quinine) about a week before. It doesn't prevent you from getting infected but somehow alters your blood chemistry to the point where the parasite can't invade the blood cells and eventually passes through your spleen where it is killed off. Hydroxychloroquine (yes, that hydroxychloroquine) also has the same active chemical compound. This is why HCQ was originally, and now again, thought to prevent or at least mitigate C-19 infection. Doctors in areas where HCQ usage is prevalent to prevent malarial infection noticed their patients were getting infected/hospitalized at a much lower rate than non-HCQ users. Same for people who take HCQ for lupus and rheumatoid arthritis (like my dad.) As I stated before, my mom got C-19 (mildly) and my dad did not. They sleep in the same bed and live in a 900sqft townhouse. They didn't take any precautions before, during, or after. Pretty plausible explanation as to why my dad didn't come down with it.
