Wife's fever broke. She's got a headache but that could be the Makers. Scratchy throat but that's it. She went with coffee this AM over tea so she must be feeling better.
Does it mean some Chinese military officers can see everything that we're seeing? If so, I'm going to stop covering up my webcam with electrical tape. Seems pointless now.
Finally got to visit with my 80 year old grandma face to face for the first time in over a year. She moved to an assisted living facility a couple years ago, they've been on 100% lock down since last spring. Can't leave the facility except for walks around the block, zero contact with anyone from outside the facility. Screened when coming back in. Employees screened every day. Wear masks anytime they leave their room, have to take their meals in their rooms. She said it was the most boring year of her entire life (that was the theme of every conversation when I called her)...but no one in the facility caught covid. Staff apparently did a great job screening and calling out when feeling ill or notified of possible exposure. She got her shots a while back, said her arm wasn't even sore, zero problems with either shot. Tough old bird. The difference in her physical appearance was almost shocking, not surprising after having to spend a year basically locked away in a room.

It's not just Michigan. We're seeing quite the uptick here as well. My son's minor baseball practices have been cancelled for two weeks due to positive exposures.

Kinda funny at my work, mostly conservatives but have a few liberals as well. A couple of them rabid anti-republicans. The left leaners are the ones that have not started or scheduled vaccinations. Quite a few right leaners have either gotten the first shot and waiting for the second or have first shot scheduled. Couple of us have both already. I figured it would be the other way around honestly
