The news reported this morning numbers were down... No, the rate of new cases/infections, hospital occupancy, rate of deaths may have slowed. Overall deaths and cases continue to climb. But saying things like deaths to date or total cases to date would paint the current admin in a bad light and that's not the propaganda to be pushing to the populous.
Week or so ago our local news reported the county had it's first day with no new cases and how good the mandates were. They got roasted pretty good seeing as all the testing places were closed because we got decent snow storm. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Zuckerberg says he "has concerns" about the unknown long-term effects of mRNA vaccinations. Hmmm.... https://twitter.com/i/status/1361854002024116228
My wife get's her second dose today, so if I do not post tomorrow one can assume she turned into a zombie and ate my brains
We had 4 people at work get the second round of the covid vaccine within 3 days of each other. Within days, all of them called out of work feeling like hell. Some multiple days.
Seems to be somewhat normal with boosters. Shingles vaccine can often cause flu like symptoms (my parents both had symptoms for 48hrs after their shingle vaccine). My wife is now administering Moderna vaccines to customers (she's a pharmacist), so she may have some insights as they vaccinate more. My wife got her second Moderna a week ago and other than a headache and back ache for 12hrs, she was fine. We have probably 20+ friends and 5 family members that have had both doses of either Pfizer or Moderna, and no one had much more than 24hrs of flu like symptoms. There are definitely some strong immune responses happening that you read about online with these vaccines that definitely makes you hesitant, though (myself included)
After many years of abuse, many of us are relieved.... Genes inherited from NEANDERTHALS slash the risk of severe Covid-19 by 22% by triggering production of a virus-fighting enzyme, study finds
I had a pulmonary function test yesterday and just got notice that all is normal. Unfortunately, I still feel like crap more than 3 months out from having Covid. Next step is to pick up a prescription for Prednisone today and try it for 10 days to see if there is any benefit. I have an executive physical scheduled for March 18th that starts at 7 am and lasts all day. It sounds like they will work me over from head to toe and I am in hopes that I can get some answers. It's going to cost me about 4 grand out of pocket and at this point, I don't even care. Being tired, short of breath, sore and having headaches all the time is starting to really wear on my mental state. I normally just like to be grumpy for sport, but it's getting too easy to be grumpy all the time. I think my wife has also had just about enough of my feeling like crap. I put on my happy face each morning and go about my day, but it takes all I have to keep it up. All that being said, I have heard of people going for nearly a year after Covid with much worse symptoms than I have. So, I tell myself that it could be much worse and that seems to keep me going for now. But damn, this virus is some really seriously messed up stuff. I can assure you that there is nothing made up about this illness. My Dr. is one of my best friends and he is trying everything, but they don't even know what they don't know about this illness. Not looking for sympathy, but wanting everyone to know that there is nothing made up about this illness. It is real, and it can be horrible.
I am praying for you right now, Fletch. I pray you recover completely and that this virus will quit hounding you.
You just described what I used to feel like before I quit smoking. I don't think you ever smoked? I sure hope the answer can be found. Nobody like being miserable all the time. Well, except maybe one guy we know..... Lol
