As an example, there is a small local restaurant that is done more business now than they were pre-pandemic. How? They scrambled to rework their web page, order system, take out & delivery. They have a good product, but exceptional throughput, rewards (incentive to continue to repeat business) and quick fulflment/turnover in their parking lot. Yes, Amazon is crushing it, but if argue that was the terms pre-covid. But etsy small businesses are also seizing the opportunity...

The closer I get to the 26th the more I dread it. Kinda pissed I have faithfully avoided exposure and now I have to wade into the swamp of higher probability. I've went nearly 11 months now without contracting it. I wear masks where mandatory and nowhere else. I have yet to contract it even after being exposed twice to known positives. It's not the flu, but it is the flu. Flu is pretty much non-existent this year. Covid has taken its place, know what happens when Covid disappears? Yep, flu will once again become prevalent. I wear a mask when needed(mandated), it does not protect me nor you, I don't care what anyone here or the CDC says, read the damn precautions on the packaging. It does not protect against transmission of corona viruses, it says it in black and white right on the packaging. Retaliatory response is, "It protects you from droplets due to a cough or sneeze". My Response is, "If a MF'er in this day and age comes up on me and starts coughing or sneezing, his/her mask better have a clotting agent in it as well". Yes I said "her" in that response, I don't differentiate sexes when safety/well being is in question. Live your lives people, take the same precautions you would to avoid transmission of any communicable disease. This one happens to be distancing and congregating. If 12 people get together in a 10 or more person banned setting, yet no one has the disease, then no one will get infected. Period. Use common sense, it is the number one most qualified preventer of becoming infected. Guaranteed.

Just got a message that I am scheduled for the Vaccine tomorrow, good timing as planned on cat hunting the last week of January and into February....this way I can get the booster before I leave. Surprised they getting to some of us so soon, I actually think the are even delineating based on level of care for staffing because most wont see any for several weeks.

There was 2 counties close to me that made big news about getting the vaccine, they both ended up only getting about 40 some odd doses. I'm assuming for health care workers. My mom works at a nursing home and said they're supposed to get it here in next week or so. And the local hospital is giving it to employees same time frame.
