I am going to sound like an a-hole but trust me while it sucks for kids in high school as soon as they get to college those high school memories are soon forgotten, probably not for the kids that are going to peak in high school.

that's not a-hole-ish to me...but then again I am one of those a-holes who hated HS but loved college so much I stayed there for 7 years...and I am not a doctor.

It's not so much for the memories; it's for the social interaction which paves the way for the rest of their lives.

I fear, and I really mean this- we are creating huge percentage of potential InCels with this crap. And you know what happens with InCels.

I will never forget the day when my son told me that he was not going to go go play Div 2 or 3 football or basketball he had his health and knew the importance of a degree vs the commitment of playing college sports. I never pressured or pushed I am glad that he was smart and got done in 4 with a job waiting for him vs bad knees and CTE.

So this Ivermectin he speaks of in that video testifying. Sounds like its the very same ivermectin found in drugs like Heartguard for animals?

Is this right? Can I feed my crews Heartguard chewables? lmao

They talked about invermectin in April and May, the only difference... Trump didn’t say the word. Again they are using it as a transport tool with the zpack and zinc. Same idea different tool. Trump didn’t talk about it so no one hates it.

Why would our tiny town be unique? Our girls volleyball team had an outbreak of Covid and the coach got it and so did his whole family among other families associated to players. I did business with the coach and quite honestly, I think that is how I got Covid. Now, our boys basketball team has an outbreak and I know of at least one parent that is now in bad shape with Covid and they were only exposed 8 days ago. The kids dont normally get sick, but they are great spreaders of the virus.

I am being serious when I ask, why would our town be any different than any other community or city? And, why would highschool athletics be more important than weddings, funerals, Thanksgiving, etc.?

I am not sure, my tiny town had 0. We had a football player and coach that got it outside of workouts and the football player came to conditioning, our school was strict about 6ft rule and trying to wear mask. Did not workout well at times. We had one kid come to basketball conditioning with covid, he got it at Sunday school, again coaches were diligent about 6ft rule, they were a bit tougher on mask and again 0 spread in indoor gym practice. My son sat across from him in lunch, 6+ ft apart.
Is the spread happening on the field or off?

We complete 95% football games and 98% of the others with 0 hospitalization, 0 spread from competition and 0 spread on buses. We did not have buses at our school.

I would be kidding myself if I answered how I thought they were spreading it around. I do know the coach personally and he said they were very strict about social distancing and continuously disinfecting the volleyballs etc. He is certain he got it somehow from the girls at practice or the games. He was always wearing a mask. It is such a strange bug. We will likely never know all we want about it. Glad your town had much better results than ours.

On a side note. A group of us that have all had Covid and recovered got together last night and watched Iowa throttle Iowa State in basketball. It was really fun to get together and share a meal and have a few drinks while watching college basketball. It was strangely normal. Makes you really appreciate what normal life was. Stay well!

Well now they are making the basketball players wear masks during the games and practices. How frigging stupid. My daughter is just dumbfounded.
