We had a neighbor, 54 years old, pass away from covid. She had developed a secondary infection in her legs? Idk, but it was upsetting to say the least. Family was not allowed to see her before her passing. She was a little overweight but walked every night.
When the virus came out thought my father in law was a deadman, he got it and beat it, hell heaven or hell does not want him evidently.
I remember that, that is terrible. I mainly hang around people 25 to 55 yrs of age. I've had two of them get covid. The female in her lower 50s quarantined and back to work in 2 weeks. The male in his mid 40s never even knew he had covid but tested positive for the antibodies.
So Thanksgiving tested clean 11 individuals gathering for a dinner to be thankful for our blessings, KMA
We have 3 family friends with each of them who have a member with COVID and on ventilators. One of the kids I coached had it, lost sense of smell and taste, but that was it. Was practicing with us yesterday. The rest of the boys were nervous he was there, I walked up and gave the kid a hug, stated to the group he's fine, tested negative, and quarantine. Practice went well after that.

Know lots of people with it including several co workers. Most are out of breath, and fevered. My uncle is hospitalized right now.
I know several people that had it..... the worst was several days of nasty fever and major flu symptoms. Some didn’t even know they had anything but had been exposed and tested positive. Personally they’d have to drag me in dead to get a test to become a statistic. I’m sure I had it several weeks ago, lost sense of smell and had a head cold for a few days. And nope I don’t mask, I value my immune system and refuse to weaken it by wearing a chin diaper. Imo the masks are the biggest joke about this whole thing and they do more harm than good. Another contractor that does the same work as me passed back in the beginning of all this. About 3 weeks before it happened to him he held the door open for me at the local hardware store. Great guy, sorry that he is gone. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Drive over to Quincy, they turned one of the parking lots into a drive thru testing facility. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
My Dad got it about 3 weeks ago. He narrowly missed hospitalization but I'd still say he was extremely sick..... for about 2 weeks. Doing much better now and will return to work next week after the holiday.
My neighbor (older) two houses down said he lost his brother to Covid. This was a while back. I don't know any of the details though.
My co worker got pneumonia with blood clots. Hospitalized for 3 days. But this was very early when the virus was much more lethal. It has evolved as almost all viruses do to become less lethal but more contagious. He also has a congenital heart condition and is probably 50lbs overweight. He's 45.
UK stats that you will likely never hear - 90% of C-19 fatalities are 4 years OLDER than the average UK life expectancy.
My SIL had an uncle pass away from it. Not a big loss for me because I only met him once at their wedding 10 years ago. I expect that my FIL will pass away from it when he gets it; 75 years old, morbidly obese, smoked two packs a day for 25 years before quitting, already has to use an inhaler just to breathe walking around. The unspoken health factor in all of this is morbid obesity. That vast majority of people that are not recovering are obese people who had several underlying preexisting health factors, especially if they had a preexisting breathing problem.
My neighbor is having some lasting issues, was never hospitalized. Went into the ER yesterday with some breathing issues, they gave him an IV, sent him home and said he will be fine. 50's, overweight 100+, pre-diabetic. I'm glad he's fighting the good fight. However isn't this exactly what is supposed to happen? Go to the Dr. or Hospital for health issues and they fix you up? So many people are avoiding going in for treatment that are at high risk that it is literally killing them!
unless that's a gastric bypass doctor I think your neighbor is SOL. Somebody is more than 100lbs overweight and over 50yoa they are just playing Russian roulette and probably paying for the bullets with our money. Just as likely to die from cancer, heart disease or stroke than C-19.
