I think part of SK and Jap. response was probably because they are right there and did not have to wait for confirmation.

Heck, North Korea is still Covid-19 free, even while be being sandwhiched between them

    Edit forgot the

Not gonna happen, too many people here gaming the hotline call in to get 14 days off.

I'm at home or at work and avoiding people like the plague while at work.

I think if this virus can be detained/neutralized it is going to be a Trump campaign talking point as big as or about as big as SCOTUS pick in 2016 or even illegal immigration w. Who do you think can do a better job at repairing the economy over the next 4 3/4 years.....

I don't think we'll see new highs, but if CV19 can be treated/minimized with a vaccine actually close to being had, I can see a few record days to gain some of it back.

I believe we'll continue to see an increased number of positive cases each day as testing expands and people who were infected prior to the shelter in place rule begin to fall ill. If everyone can keep their heads on straight and avoid as many people as possible, we should hopefully start to see that level out in about a week. I believe they say the median time from infection to symptoms is about 5 days, with most almost 100% showing signs by 11 days.

It will rebound and recover well. We are still at full production and shipping, all of our customers are necessity companies, garbage still has to go, new cells built, gas and condensate collected. We don't even have people out with the flu. We also have a guy that 4 times day wipes downs door knobs. table tops, counters. the break room.

It is not that bad I can get to work in 30 minutes under that if I hit all the lights going thru Elk River on 169.

Most folks are dying somewhere around the 21 day mark. We're early in this thing so mortality rate is still low. Give it some time.

yes, but if this study is even close to accurate and over 80% of cases are relatively asymptomatic; then the number of fatalities is even much lower than 1%

    Abstract
Estimation of the prevalence and contagiousness of undocumented novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV2) infections is critical for understanding the overall prevalence and pandemic potential of this disease. Here we use observations of reported infection within China, in conjunction with mobility data, a networked dynamic metapopulation model and Bayesian inference, to infer critical epidemiological characteristics associated with SARS-CoV2, including the fraction of undocumented infections and their contagiousness. We estimate 86% of all infections were undocumented (95% CI: [82%–90%]) prior to 23 January 2020 travel restrictions. Per person, the transmission rate of undocumented infections was 55% of documented infections ([46%–62%]), yet, due to their greater numbers, undocumented infections were the infection source for 79% of documented cases. These findings explain the rapid geographic spread of SARS-CoV2 and indicate containment of this virus will be particularly challenging.

Comparing deaths to new infections doesn't make sense. Ponzi mathematics.

    How many have recovered?

I myself am playing it safe regardless.

Was watching the WH CV briefing, now watching CSPAN2, but Trump sounded like he's tired of watching the economy suffer and is going all in on the 15 day plan and the cloroquine/zithromax being enough to end social distancing and getting people back to working.

Crazy part about this all (for me).

    Nothing has changed.

I’m a fireman. My fiancé is a nurse. Literally nothing has changed. We go to work, take the same precautions, come home. We’ve actually been going on less calls because people aren’t calling in for stupid reasons anymore.

Ohio is closed down, only thing that’s different. All carry out, no dine in anywhere. I’ve been spending ALOT of time she’s hunting since there’s nothing else to do.

Well there may be a new front runner in the BHOD patient zero pool.

Sister just texted me and said "don't come down to visit. We haveta quarantine ourselves." I said what? So she said her husband was sick and went to doctor. They told him they weren't sure if it was corona because they have limited test, but that they should both quarantine themselves for 2 weeks.

No influenza test? Usually that would be the first thing they do and takes 15 minutes to get the result, would at least rule it out if so and give them a bit of relief from an unknown.
