If you don't come down with it I am lowering upping my Templeton's intake to a 1/4 bottle per night; no matter what my wife says.
That could be as well, I remember for awhile you would need to be tested for 7-9 days in a row to be certain. Unless you are an elite or politician, then you can get results within and hour or two. Shows who is deemed important in this world. One day the revolt is going to happen, and when it does the simpletons of today standing for socialism are going to fully understand what a revolt truly is. It's short for revolution, what these dolts are doing is short for tantrum.
If I do not contract it, I will deem myself immune and surely die from it when bitten by a squirrel in 5 years On a serious note, if I do not get it here, I will fully trust my immune system despite my physical stature. I do not get the flu, have not had it since around 1985 and I hope that plays in part to my immune system. We'll all find out together, I damn sure plan on being in the LFTS thread next year though
usually takes at least 3 days to incubate to the levels where you will test hot. Usually 7 days with no symptoms you will be OK.
Yeah, I'm 38 hours exposed now, work 6-2:30 tomorrow and Saturday, off Sunday and back to work Monday. I had a test before my surgery back in August so thought it was easy to get one, not as simple as I thought. What I would love to do is walk into the HR office and ask for a test appointment to be made, the whole while muffling coughs. I'm in manufacturing and they are more worried about getting shut down than they are being shut down. Don't care about myself, I just don't want to give it to my elderly family, mom etc. during the holidays.
@Justin any way we can get a cricket chirp emoji? Would work in instances like this, for me, but I think it would be more utilized in instances in LFTS where someone says they took a shot but never follow up etc. Either way it would be a good emoji for multiple situations.
@Germ Illinois HS Sports Association just Xd all winter sports. Good thing there's plenty of heroin around. Kids need something to do.
My oldest is over her senior year basketball. Sounds bad but this has played out so long she is just crushing the grades and working 20 hrs a week. They havent been allowed to do anything as a team since the season ended in March this past year. Covid numbers on the rise and we are gonna let kids play up close and personal sports while at the same time not allowing them to attend their schools in person? Makes 0 sense. This kid has kicked butt in sports since she was a little tiny girl and to not be able to watch her play her senior year is gonna mega suck.
Not sure exact numbers regarding sports but it's minuscule. I do know (or read) every kid in Cook Co that has died had co morbidities. Word on the street is that the CTU is telling teachers no in-person classes until at least spring. I promise 100x more kids are going to die from correlative street violence and overdoses than would have from in person classes. Probably several hundred times.
MHSAA kept track of the numbers for indoor and outdoor sports. We had zero spread in competition games and our school had 7 cases and none of those were spread or contracted in school. 95-98% of games played in the fall Thankfully MHSAA is doing everything it can to get these kids back. Some kids are not over it, some have colleges wanting to see them play, and some just want to play. https://secondhalf.mhsaa.com/All-Ne...5/Council-Announces-Schedule-to-Resume-Sports
That last line for urban area sports is it, where will these kids turn to? I have the means to rent a gym and keep the kids playing and active. At some point, they are just going to give up and I cannot accept that nor will I let it happen without doing what I can.
Sorry for your daughter Brett but to quote our fake President-elect: C'mon man. What about any of this has made sense? I tried watching college football last week and was jarred by the absolute absurdity of the juxtaposition of the coaches and refs and sideline players w/o helmets wearing masks while the rest of the players literally farmer blow snot on the sidelines and spit all over each other on every down...I just couldn't deal with it. It's just retarded.
No, I didn't miss it. I just didn't deem it worthy of a response. I do hope the best for you with your situation though.
Our school went remote for one day today, lol. We've had a few cases, but more staff than students. I will side with dnoodles on this one. I don't believe this virus to be a hoax or not serious by any means, but I truly feel like in person instruction (with mask wearing and the other protocols we have in place) is 10000% better than remote instruction. There's simply no substitute.
I admire your efforts. Admittedly I'm less concerned with the sports than I am with virtual classes that nobody attends or pays attention to. Haven't heard about a lot of "learning pods" in The City. We better be praying for a brutally cold winter or else there's going to be blood all over the snowy streets of Chicago and other major metro areas with canceled classes this winter. The murder/shooting rates for the past month are almost "normal" summer levels which is crazy for this time of year.
