My sense of taste and smell both came back finally after a month. It was irritating but not that big of a deal. I'm just happy I didn't have any fever, chills, cough or congestion with it...I hate that sh*t.
Good to hear you are back to normal? How is your lungs and lingering issues? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My neighbors high school son tested positive a couple weeks ago. The fam all got tested and came back negative but their doctor said, "you guys tested too early... you have it." They all had headaches and the dad (150 pounds overweight and diabetic) had a day of troubled breathing. They are all back to 99% now. This is happening all over the country and world, for every lab positive case reported (think worldometers and johns hopkins dashboard) there are an additional 1, 2, 5, maybe 10 cases not reported. Heck think of places in the world where tests are still not widely available. We need to study what we know now and backfill the data with what we knew "then" March-May and start telling people the truth.
Me? I never had any breathing issues or congestion, no lingering issues. The last vestige of it was the loss of taste and smell and those came back finally. One more thing I'd like to voice...my test was just a nasal swab and not bad at all. The earlier tests were like getting your brain stem towel dried from what I hear but they stopped that and just stuck a big q-tip in my snoz and wiggled it around a bit...tickled like a son of a b*tch and it still sucked. I fought a sneeze from hell for 5 minutes, lol. It could have been worse though.
I had to have the brain drilling test after potential exposure a few months ago. The swab went in through each nostril and to the back of your sinus cavity. They spun it for a count of 10 on each side. It was the longest few seconds of my life. My eyes watered for about 15 minutes after. lol. I was thrilled to hear that if I had to be tested again at some point, it will likely not be a repeat of the original torture. I tested negative. We had friends that gave up on the long line after registering for the drive-through testing. So, to be clear, they NEVER did get tested and still received emails that their results were POSITIVE. That proved to me that the entire process is suspect. That is not the only incident of a BS positive result I know of.
I've heard a lot of those false positive test results as well. I knew I had it before I even went to take the test just from the weird loss of taste and smell, I just took the test so I could honestly say yes when someone asked if I was tested or just guessing that I'd had it. I'd had it for about a week by the time I was tested anyway and was already on the uptick. My quarantine only actually lasted another week after the test results, I had self quarantined up until then anyway. I'm sure some people died from the crap, all I know is mine and my mom's luckily were less severe than any real cold I've ever had. I sympathize with anyone that did lose loved one's to it (or whatever).
I have a 6pm appointment for a covid test in Des Moines. 1 hour 20 minutes each way. Closest place I can get immediate result. Been really sick last 24 hrs. Dont even care if ot is the brain drilling test at this point.
I have to admit..never seen south park, other than clips on others shows, don't think I watched more than 10 simpsons and only over heard trailerpark boys because of hubby.
