I just finished up vac sealing 20#'s of chicken and a pork loin. Hubby has a restaurant supply house near his job. Those guys have got to be hurting with all restaurants closed down. Showed me one thing, store chicken and wholesale restaurant. Way different. One you see before cooked the other, only seen after. These breast were a size where one feeds us both. Store bought is one for each of use. Why most entree are fillets. 20#'s equaled 13 breast so 13 meals. We are set for venison, sausage, chicken, and pork. Veggies and cheese. Will only need fresh stuff. But now growing lettuce and I have frozen cukes. Yes I froze my extra cukes and it works fairly well to my surprise . Not crunchy but not soggy . Still has that cuke flavor good for blending a cuke dressing.
When I raised meat chickens I used to tell people you would have to be a rooster to get a better piece of chicken.
I have to say this. Being a NYS resident listening to Cuomo I'm getting angry. I live upstate. I know that the cases in NYC and surrounding area are hit hard . Way harder than upstate. Though he has not addressed any thing to help upstate ...AT ALL. He's ramping up for the rise in down state but its doubling daily in some upstate areas. Areas that do not have the facilities down state have had for years. Nor do we have the infrastructure and money down state has. Then in the end we up here will have to carry the cost of down state.
Well just to add to the fun of everything else. My boss's wife just had her car stolen last night out of their garage. Whoever did it ditched another vehicle in driveway before taking off in her's. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
It's just going to get worse...we're in the middle of no where and break ins have increased, even though they know people could be and are home. I forgot cell yesterday and hubby grabbed Gator to find me... The chew out began... He's spooked now Angels gone. I told him I am carrying a folding box cutter every where now. Lighter than the shot gun..
I ended that early after moving here years ago. When we had Bear and Lady. He was a massive shepard and she was a muscular female, she did not like men. They sent a 5 yr old little girl down the drive alone. Both dogs loved kids but knew not to approach without permission. I flipped. Kept it to myself and with a big smile took her back to them. Asked that they take her to the car and let loose like a crazed beast on the adults. How dare they risk a childs life sending a child to an unknown house. That the dogs were strong enough to kill an adult. What did they think they could both do to her had they not been train? I should turn them into child wellfair. At one point I may have been foaming. They looked shell shocked by the time I said get off my land and never come back! Then there was the Kirby sales man..aauughh...lol PS .. I have two posted signs at the end of drive way.
I did get both dirt bikes working just in case we have a mad max situation. Oil changed and batteries charged.
BTW It would never be evisceration,not efficient. Coming from pocket it would be a hard upward hit on inner thigh or across groin. Less fat
Just moved one of my ammo safes into a smaller closet, if they can get that dang thing out of there more power to them. Think the bigger one is well heavy enough for them not to get it out. Took an hour and 10 minutes to empty, move and restack 10 feet away. I hate humans, hoping the security cams are enough of a deterrent from deadbeats.
