we already have the answer to that:

    2009, H1N1, President BHO
    (below screenshot from the CDC)

    upload_2020-8-29_22-48-6.png

and not a freaking peep from the media.

Using the newly revised CDC numbers, we're on roughly a same pace with C-19. We are approximately 9 months in, and have 9200 deaths. Just do the math.

I've said it before, with H1N1 I never changed a thing, not one thing and no one I know ever mentioned it.

My work hung fliers if you feel sick stay home, which still hang today but they still criticize you for doing, and they put hand sanitizer in all the restrooms.

What's the one thing most effected, and what is the one thing Trump protected?

I seriously want to see 2008 to present annual death numbers. Shouldn't be that hard to document as death certificates and Social Security should be easily used to obtain those numbers.

Biden has a plan, if he wins it goes away if not we may have to deal with it for a few more years.

on pure numbers, H1N1 appears to be more deadly. In the first year, far less people (less than half) tested positive for it and roughly the same amount died from it in the first year. Some of that lower positivity rate is likely due to less media hype/less testing.

Truth be told, my first freak out on Virus related crap was when they flew the Ebola patient in to the CDC.

I thought that was going to unleash the beast and was the worst move ever.

I turned out to be wrong on it, but Ebola was the one that could have crippled America, yet China found another way.....

Could be, I don't recall off hand and not really that interested in searching.

We have enough members active in this thread that travel, live in denser populations and refuse to wear masks that we should have at minimum a few that were infected.

Truth is, we'll never have an answer on Covid-19. Trump will never be able to state he was duped by it and Democrats will never be able to claim they over politicized it.

Time to open up America and if you are afraid to vote, see you in 2024.

I too believe it was Jay, he came back to the site because he was in isolation. He was not interested in the golden corral gift card.

I honestly believe a lot of this civil unrest is pent up anger from the lock downs. People are nuts.

I have a hard time relating to be honest. Other than my own safety measures and the mask wearing in public. It's had little impact. Daughter and significant ,he's an engineer and work from home until called back in a few weeks ago. She's in banking and still working from home. Hubby and son construction never stopped working due to being listed as essential. The only delays we had were the normal Dr. Appointments but even they return including dentist and minor surgery. This in NYS , major citys and minor ones were hit all around us, several spreaders found near us but not the deaths.

That's what I meant by "pushed society to the brink"

Now in Portland, BLM/ ANTIFA are shooting at Patriot Prayer parades. (1 dead. )

Good thing they are mostly peaceful. Shudder to think.

I work Chicago in the city every day guys. Its a ghost city damn near definitely not what it use to be. I'm exactly one block from the mag mile and where the shooting happened just recently when they looted. Even if guys test positive the job still continues and doesn't shutdown. No pandemic clause in contracts so deadlines must be hit on time. What jobs are going now and have been paid for thats about it for union construction til things go back to normal. Who knows when that will be, just annoying its come to this. At least October is right around the corner so there's always something positive to look forward too!..........I did claim last December I had the virus but I can't prove it fully due to it wasnt talked about or even had testing available then. But it was miserable whatever I had for a week.

I was really hoping for this mitigation testing and a false positive to come in October or November so I could have two weeks off with pay and be able to hunt. Mandatory testing and on the questionnaire to schedule it, it asked if I’d had a flu vaccine. So I’ll probably be getting one of those on Friday and getting sick.(I’ve never had one). But whudddaya do ya know? It isn’t worth my income to tell them to shove their flu shot up their ass

I don’t think I’ve got it! Who knows... I probably do but have had 0 symptoms. I know it’s extremely crappy of me, but I’ve practiced 0 social distancing for a good 2 months now. I wear my mask when appropriate, but have not worn one inside a bar for some time now. Almost every bar I visit does not enforce the mask rule (even though they are supposed to).

Not letting this virus control my life and let it ruin my summer plans.
