I would much rather have Homer standing 6-8' over there without a mask on than have him wearing a dirty hankie on his mouth and chin hovering over me while I'm at the paint counter at Home Depot. People are delusional if they think that's helping stop the spread of the virus. But hey, at least he's following The Rules.

I'm working in two markets, OKC & Northwest Arkansas, I wear a mask and it's just another piece of garb that has yet to bother me. And yeah, it makes my glasses fog up every now and then, whoopity doo. So tough. So I guess Japan and South Korea aren't testing and that's the trick but they are so there is that. Noted but I'm prepared for the impending double speak. I think this is the conversation we are having and trying to establish why it's just so distressing for people. It's nothing more than childish. This could only be proven or considered a fact if all people were wearing a mask and a baseline was established otherwise you're just pissing in the wind. But nice try. It is also leaving a lasting effect on those who have contracted it such as severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS), suggest some people can take years to recover. But let's not also forget.. physicians are seeing an uptick in strokes among young patients with Covid-19. But I agree, instead of trying to do something to stop or limit the spread, let's do nothing bc it's so difficult to wear a mask bc so and so's uncles cousins nephew says he heard blah blah guberment mind control beginning of communism.

Best case estimates is that universal proper mask wearing (type, duration, situational) in a clinical setting reduces the spread of the virus by as much as 33%. Let's say they are 100% correct and it does work 33% of the time in a lab. Great. What the studies and lab nerds do not take into account is Homer. Those of us in the real world never forget Homer. Homer does not live and operate in a clinic. Homer lives and operates amongst us. Homer is us. Homer will always Eff it up. Other than not having to look at his stupid slack jawed face, I would rather Homer stay way over there without a face cover than help me ring up my groceries while we both pretend he's protecting me with his dirty face diaper.
I wear a mask where required, if you still trust a medical professional who took an oath and lied to a country for what he deemed it's own good at face value best of luck to you.
Maybe if we had some real leadership we could have all been issued 1200 N95 masks and some proper instruction since people cant figure out how to wash and sanitize their own hands and clean a mask. But what do I know, I'm just a schmuck
Lot's of 20/20 hind site there last I checked covid is kicking every countries ass. Wanted to shut the borders, forbid entry from certain countries but that was a racist action to shift the nations attention away from impeachment proceedings. Neither side is innocent here folks.
I've started wearing a mask anytime I go to a store. I have one in my possession, so why not wear one. I have not worn or seen a single person wearing a mask in any bar the last 2 weekends. Same story as I've told in here before. Bachelor party at a popular resort this last weekend. The bars were PACKED again with 0 wearing a mask. I'm not going to start arguing about it, but I do find it kind of silly that people still refuse to wear a mask "just because" when they are going to the grocery store, Walmart, etc. Or when told there is a mask mandate at the establishment I see "XXXX store just lost my business forever. They can't make me wear no mask" .
We knew in April and we now know you don't just shut travel from China down(if that's where it originated) you shut it all down. Assume the virus is everywhere, that should be in the playbook now. "An Outbreak Anywhere is an Outbreak Everywhere" That's about the only quote Cuomo said worth a damn

This country has a lot to get better. Do better. But people do realize that the worlds power is always subject to criticism from all sides right? Other countries love to make us look bad, and so do our own people now. Creates a real bad environment. That is by design.
