10 ply soft Germ if you have never trained to operate in temps well over 100 degrees wearing PPE and a pack and burning thru over a gallon of water a day and working 16 hour shifts in hell and comparing it to going to walmart child please.
He's the adjustable tool, no matter what is said or what changes he has a gotcha moment. You stepped into his trap or he avoided yours. Can't kick a goal when the goal posts forever move.
Thing is Faci, lie to me once is all it takes, said the mask was worthless and said it was for our own good. Most dangerous liar because the media supports his agenda.
somebody on talk radio today...not a big name guy I'll think of his name later; said he's noticed that whatever the media runs with (popular opinion) you can be sure Fauci will run with 2 days later. He's a media whoore. Case in point is his statement about New York handling it better than anyone...media was running with that for about a week before Fauci went public with that humdinger. Yeah, if you're into sending tens of thousands of people to their deaths and completely crushing your state's economy; then yeah Cuomo handled it awesomely.
Really when he knew more he change his mind. That’s not allowed, good lord. Put your mask on or you’re not a patriot!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If that's the hill you want to stand on have at it, I am sure me, you, or anyone else here has never changed what they thought based on more information. If the mask is that hard for you don't wear one, I really don't care here in Michigan. All I know is the president asked me to wear one and be a patriot and he never lies and always has America interest as 1 when he makes decisions. As stated by many here, I am just following our President's lead.
I'd question a doctor's opinion that only recently learned covering your mouth instead of cough and sneezing into people's face will stop transfer of virus. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I work in a hospital and I have been required to wear a mask 40+ hours per week for the last two and half months. It makes sense for me given my work environment. The bulk of the cases in Little Rock end up here if hospitalization is required. The governor just instituted a state-wide mask mandate last week. It wasn't necessary before, but it is now. Our cases are skyrocketing. It will probably be over 50K by the end of the month with 100K predicted by the end of August. The need for a state-wide mask mandate may not be necessary, it should be decided by the individual states. Personally, I would rather see it stay as a county-by-county decision. Arkansas only has two major population areas. About 90% of the cases in the state are confined to five counties. But, if I can put up with wearing a mask 40+ hours per week for the past two months, the petulant, whiny children, I mean freedom-loving real patriots of America, can put one on to go to the freakin' grocery store. An inconvenience during abnormal circumstances is not the same assault on your freedoms as tyranny. We are trying to get through a viral pandemic, not an invasion by the British.
Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to kindly exit this conversation. There is no room here for personal experiences or logic. We only deal with fear-mongering and ignorant opinions based on memes.
South Korea, Japan.. do they not talk about them on Fox news? The mandatory masks and temp checks, that is. Or the low low number of cases they have, the fact they never shut down and just wore masks and took peoples temperature. Maybe I misread that or maybe I got my info from another news source so it must not be true. Maybe I can go find the contradictory information on the internet to fit the masks don't work narrative.
I don't find much fault in any of that conceptually. Biggest issues are A) One size-fits-all regulations. What works/needed in one state does not apply to the other (so that's a hard NO on a national order) B) huge percentage of people are not wearing proper masks or wearing proper masks properly C) masks don't really do a whole lot anyway. Hand wash, maintain distance, and don't touch your face is much more effective at preventing the spread of disease. Masks give people a false sense of security which is really what they're all about
I specifically addressed this when I said, "The need for a state-wide mandate may not be necessary, it should be decided by the individual states." A nation-wide mandate is taking the one size-fits-all regulation too far and exceeds federal authority in my opinion. "Stupid is is stupid does." These are the people making this far worse than it actually has to be. Two stories from my real life in the last few months that make me call this crap. One, I spent three days a week for the past four months working in a daycare for the children of employees of the hospital. This was a temporary work reassignment after our governor, IMHO got overly ambitious and shut down day cares state-wide. Within the first month of working the daycare, I was around two children that tested positive for COVID-19. These kids were playing with me and hugging on me no matter how much I asked them to stop. They got sick, I did not. I wore a mask, they did not. Second story, one of my personal training clients is a cancer doctor. He has come in known contact with positive cases at least five times that I know of, he wears a mask. His patients that caught the virus do not. Masks are working. If they did not, every hospital worker that comes in contact with someone would be getting sick. And for the record, the masks I wear are not medical N-95 masks. Those are only supplied to people working in direct contact with the infected. My masks are homemade cloth masks.
Justin my sig needs more space, I can't fit all these great posts in my sig Here is the SQL, I just guessed on the names of the tables. GO UPDATE [dbo].signatureTable SET [signature] = VARCHAR(MAX) WHERE username = 'Germ'
https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/coronavirus-why-masks-dont-work/ar-BB11nxm9 https://www.foxnews.com/media/surgeon-general-explains-masks-public-coronavirus and don't give me the crap that this was back in March "before we knew anything". It's a SARS virus. Variants have been around for over a decade. Transmission methods are exactly the same. Is wearing a proper mask, made of the proper materials, for short periods of time, in certain situations, a hurdle to transmission? Yes. Does anyone actually follow all those things? Hardly. The cumulative behavior effect that derives from the majority of people wearing masks almost assuredly contributes to more spread of the virus that whatever good comes from the very few people who wear the correct masks in the prescribed manner. Does it make people touch their faces more? Yes. Does it give people a false sense of security? Yes. Do people forget about social distancing when wearing them? Hard Yes. Keep making yourselves feel better. Not going to argue on the internets about it anymore. Testing is way up. Cases are way up. Hospitalization and death rates are way down. The virus continues to evolve into a less-deadly strain and a vaccine may actually be in the near future. Worldwide Apocalypse to a bad flu season in less than 12 months. That seems pretty good.
