Appreciate it. I really was just amamzed by the perspective and thought I'd pass along to consider another's point of view here in rural America. I gotta disagree about the topless analogy tho. Thats a different ball of sticky wax altogether. I also can't compare my hunting mask to the masks in question. I wear my covid mask when asked to despite my many doubts on the effectiveness of said masks, but i also have to point out how knee jerk reactions and blanket policies may not be the best approach in a time of pandemics and conflicting "facts" surrounding it. Masks are needed. Masks are not needed. You need mask a, b, c, d, e , f for it to work. Mask A works. Mask A doesnt work. Doctors and health care professionals wear certain masks that make our masks look homemade and ineffective. Lots. But I wear a mask where I am required.
I'm sure you are aware, as you are well versed in all things factual on covid, but the most basic instance is when the government says they aren't effective one month then says wear a mask to slow the spread another month. Im not going to chase down links and argue the finer points of how to debate with a masterdebater such as yourself and fully believe in your ability to correct me as we go. I believe in you. The CDC has many studies on the efficacy of cloth masks and none of them are inspiring. But hey, if it has some effectiveness, knock yourself out. I woukd put death count in there as well and that in turn changes the mortality rate. When any death, whether presumed or confirmed, is ruled a covid death due to the deceased having tested or not tested positive, regardless of how that person died. That is the biggest factual confliction there is IMO
That’s not a conflicting fact, in February we government did not know about mask working so effectively . In February we were 2 months into this and now we are over 6 months and we know. Have you ever learned something did or did not work over time? Fact mask work, just look around the world at those who wear them and those who don’t . Then why that countries who have open back up that requires mask numbers so low? Why is Florida,Texas and California so high? Dr Drake who worked on the covid wars and Henry Ford during the worst of this is who I talked to, he’s been a family friend for 30+ years. Yes I still and I don’t know why have faith we can turn this around and get back to normal life. Y’all ever wonder how third world countries are being affected, places with high populations like India? I was talking with a man from there the other day, he flew over here for work late April and got stuck once they announced travel bans. He told me it is affecting many of the people there terribly. Yet they do not have the testing we do so it goes unreported. He also told me their quarantine enforcement has been very strict. Several people he knows have been beaten by police for being caught outside their home. One even came back to find his house burned to the ground. Edit: Before I am hit with US originating Pandemics, I do understand not all come from overseas, but the majority of the biggest cases do. Yet the Chinese and most Asians have worn masks for decades, yet these places of origin still spread the viruses like wildfire throughout their own region before spreading beyond their borders. If masks are as effective as our politically biased Science shows, why do so many who wear masks as almost a religion get infected at the rates they do? Did this Wuhan Virus somehow alter itself on flights from over seas to be less contagious when encountering loosely woven cotton fibers? So at the onset of the next Pandemic, which I think will be sooner rather than later, we all put on masks and it will be no more?

Your boy wonder said himself the masks were worthless then he changed his story. Much like the man made climate change the goal posts keep moving while they tell us what is best for us. Still say avoiding people is prudent, virus or not.
