Should the children not go back to school this fall my wife and I decided we will hired a tutor for them. As of now it will be 20 hours a week if they are full time distance learning. If there is some type part time schedule then we will cut back on the weekly hours.
I'm interested to see how much this will be enforced actually. Local news just came out and said Lowe's and home depot are starting Monday too. So far in town, that I know of, Walmart, Sam's, menards, Lowe's, and HD will start requiring mask Monday. Guess if I have to go i will but I don't really need any of those places for most part. Northern Virginia has a ton of people that live and travel through the area. Millions on a daily basis. The potential for covid disaster is high. We have been wearing masks for months. Our covid numbers are a lot lower than ever projected. Not sure if the masks have helped or if a lot of people have "silently" contracted covid and are now immune and provide a break in the chain of covid exposure. Ever since the Governor made it lawful Ive worn a mask. Who am I tell others to obey the law when I don't follow it?
I didn't necessarily mean enforced by police just the stores in general. They've been pretty laxed on enforcement even after the governor's mandate so curious how this one will go. With it being store policy from corporations maybe will be a little more strict depending on if there's some sort of penalty. As far as me wearing one like said if go to one or these places and they say have to, I will. But I'm not going out of my way to wear one all the time or goin to one of these places unless need to. Which is not very often during normal circumstances. Our cases are less that 250 (232) and have 1 deaths and the county next to us is barely into double digit cases (8 and 10) So I'm not too concerned nor do I deal with anyone besides the guys I work with on daily basis. On average I spend probably a hour a week in "public." Most of that is 5 or 10 mins once or twice a day inside a gas station once in the morning and once if stop for lunch that day. you can't invent an imaginary situation (living in Dade County) who are publishing imaginary statistics (100% positive testing rates) and then fault me for injecting imaginary children. All are hypotheticals. All I know is that nearly every day my wife and I are exposed to random people; many of whom are not wearing masks and in uncontrolled settings (ie their homes.) I am not looking forward to getting it; but my family childless though it is risks it every day. We are living our lives and doing our jobs and will not be cowed by something that at the end of the day has statistically less than a 1% chance of killing either of us. And IF we had kids; they would be at exponentially less risk than we are. More kids have been shot in Chicago this year than have died from COVID-19 in the entire USA - that's a FACT. Since April 11, guess how many children under the age of 15 have died from the Chinese virus: 27. 27. None of them are dead but 2 of them have had lingering symptoms...similar to Lyme. Actually; as much time as I spend in the deer woods I am much more likely to contract and be severely affected by that than I am C-19. Not to mention all the other dumb crap that can happen to you while deer hunting. Yet I do it every year. This isn't false bravado- it's life. Live and love life while you have it. It must be exhausting being so afraid and being awoke all the time. I don't know how Progs do it.

My county has low numbers per capita, yet I am the problem because I choose not to wear a mask where not required(yet I do without issue when required and I have to visit there), all because FL, TX and other high density areas are being affected by restrictions being lifted or in sime cases, just a migration of the spread. Idk what the big deal is with schools? Kids, teachers, janitors, whoever if everyone wears a mask at schools what the problem? They work right? On serious note about the subject word on the street locally, from a teacher and a head of school psychs for district, said there's rumors that schools will start up in the fall for few weeks so they can make sure all the kiddies know how the online learning works. Then shut back down. But who knows, the day is gonna come when everyone is gonna haveta move on and get back to pre corona eventually. I'd wager it'll happen before the virus goes away. Some day will get back to normal, we would be pretty close with better leadership in this country all the way around. Taiwan has had mask mandate since April, 24 million people about size of Florida. given that most of the employees at the places I go to are wearing their "masks" as chin hammocks or throat scarves I imagine that will be pretty much the case.
If The Boss had said keep schools closed in spite of the overwhelming evidence than schooling poses no real risk; I know the media and possibly yourself would be saying they have to open, and like yesterday. I mean, think of the children you monsters. If grocery store workers are essential and have to work, so are and can teachers. Second thought- Trump should come out Monday and issue an EO stating that due to the sickening amount of Communist Party influence on teacher's unions; and the derivative indoctrination of The Children and the mental health impacts on their brains thereof; he hereby shuts down all public schools. Watch people lose their minds on that one.
Last weekend when I went to that 3D shoot the park it was in was having a softball tournament also goin on, full stands all day and not that really looked hard but from what I saw very few mask. The county it was held in has had 41 cases total and 0 deaths. With exceptions to major metro areas those number are about what most of country are seeing so you're gonna start to be hard pressed to convince those parts of country to stay on strict rules. I assume anyway, can only comment on areas I've been or that are local. They've already moved on and are pretty much back to normal.
