The ******* in me says that he shouldn’t be allowed into the hospital. I’m not that kind of guy though. Hope they make it and hopefully learn something.

Should people who knowingly smoke cigarettes be allowed into the hospital when their lungs start failing and it costs all of us who pay into insurance to pay for their treatment?

Friend posted on Facebook they would be be closing the in store dining and going back to outdoor and curbside at his restaraunt.

Got curious and checked the county health dept. page and current case numbers have doubled since July 2nd.

Still a low number at 122 mind you, but puts my plans on hold for the time being. Need to do some actual shopping.

Seems the spike has followed bars and restaraunts mostly, neither of which I was doing even before covid.

Unlike a grocery item, shopping for what I'm needing is a little more involved than in and out, even with a mask I'll pass for now.

Exactly, a good chance the person he caught it from was not.

The narrative in Florida has changed

May it was reopened and the numbers are flat, see it can be done. With the Gov bragging on how well he did and how the media did not give him credit.
    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ron-desantis-florida-covid-dem-states

The June narrative as numbers started to rise was.
Migrate/farm workers were the cause of the spikes, nothing to worry about.
    https://www.wlrn.org/post/desantis-points-farm-workers-floridas-covid-19-numbers-spike#stream/0

The July narrative was young people
    https://www.miamiherald.com/news/coronavirus/article243856487.html

July today the narrative is plenty of hospital beds, no worries.
EDIT. Also, today is also more testing = more cases

Will see what August brings, I hope the President sends resources down to Florida and Texas.

Disagree. Read enough proposed legislation or ordinances and you can often find why folks vote no.

Also how bout some personal accountability, instead of the govt telling you what to do?

Yesterday the heat index was 112. I don't think so. As long as I can pay my electical bill that thing is going to run.

Instead of the second $1,200 stimulus check send every american a box of N99 masks... Use that money to ramp up US production and everyone has a stock pile of high grade masks for the "second wave"

Best "stimulus" would be suspension of federal withholdings for rest of the FY.

Our school district is funded by the property taxes. They are talking no school because many parents are opting to home school. In my wife's opinion, she is a teacher, the online schooling that finished out the school year was a joke and entire school year of that is not worth it. By your logic, and I agree with it, if there is no school year, or, we opt to home school, we should not have to pay property taxes. Why should I pay taxes for a government service I am not using? I would never spend money with a business that does not offer services I want.

Your stimulus will never happen because it would completely fix the economy. If everyone actually kept all the income that was earned, and, unemployment went away or was drastically reduced, everyone would go back to work. It is too logical, you should know that government isn't that smart.
