It's coming IL. If you watched Pritzkers daily public address, he hinted of it very strongly.

Within the next 36 hours either Chicago or the entire state will be on some sort of ordered quarantine. It was rumored elsewhere, and also rumored Lightfoot would announce it for Chicago at 5pm tonight.

If that happens expect JB to follow suit for the entire state tomorrow.

So just found out, he was supposed to be on self quarantine. His Dr. Called HR and advised them that he would be out of work for x amount of days.

How filter blocking selfish can you be? Supervisor has heart problems, another coworker had a heart attack a fee years agonand is higher risk.

    Hope he got fired.

This is one we need to look at after this is over, sick leave for folks who don't have it. It's hard to stay home when one has bills to pay.

Talk with a family member, his company is laying off 350 people tomorrow, but the real stinger is they were supposed to open up 5 new locations this next two weeks. People who quit their current job now have no job and never started.

Wrote a note to our Gov. here in Michigan. The short story is simple, Michigan has nearly 2 billion in the rainy day fund, it's pouring Gov. time to act. If you make the call to keep us at home, you better have a plan to help these people.

I get that but still, the owners and HR literally just had small meetings yesterday at the end of the day. While not passed then it is now, with 14 days of sick pay he would have been paid I'm sure.

So, with shutdowns likely, how will they go about what stays opem to fuel the economy. Obviously you cannot let the economy crash entirely.

Grocery stores, medical services, obviously law enforcement/fire will still be working. Will they shut down all manufacturing? Auto manufacturers already closed up.

I work in manufacturing, mainly supply parts for Caterpillar and Komatsu, but have other mining companies and oil industry customers.

Sucks not knowing.... yet it has to be done.

Reagan once gave a speech and I forget the main reason but.
    He said,

“Perhaps we need some outside universal threat to make us recognize this common bond. I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world.”

Of course all the alien conspiracy folks went bonkers but I like to think this covid19 is an alien threat and we will follow through on that challenge. Be pretty sweet to live in a world like that, kinda hippy dippy dreamer but if the Gipper said it..

When RR was president his first term it was controversial but he brought back registration of every male age 18. I turned 18 the day I graduated from high school I went to the post office first thing in the morning.

Do they still do selective service, I think it was called, today? Basically registering to be drafted but haven't heard anyone mention it in years. I did at 18 as well, was told you had to.
