WI supreme court just rule the extension of our safer at home order is beyond the govenors authority. Going along with the recent theme of this thread, no f ing way am i going to eat out or drink at a bar. Our biggest employer is set to have a massive case of this shat. Our counties cases has doubled in the last week. NE WI is going to be the states hot spot. Brown county, home of the Green Bay Packers, has just exploded. My county and the one between Brown and my county, has also seen a significant increase of cases. My employer is set to get back to 85-90% next week snd 100% the week after. This will not be good.
Add Chuy’s to that list. Worst over-priced excuse for Tex-Mex in existence. Unfortunately, my wife loves the place so we had it for Mother’s Day. Only place I know of that added a 5% packaging fee to take out orders during all of this.
2.98M more initial jobless claims. Congrats to Germs daughter who gets credit for reducing unemployment by 1, though this doesn't alter the initial jobless claim metric.
We been doing a take out rotation four days weekly, since this started , all local restaurants, people we know. Mondays and Tuesday i am not home for dinner so my wife orders out for her and the kids. Then we do friday and saturday nights as i am mostly home( not this freaking week though). I cook Wednesday, thursady and Sunday. None of them adds any kind of fee or take out change. We just add 20% for a gratuity across the board.
Sounds like a lot of the local restaurants and bars around here have had enough. Rumor has it a lot of them will be opening up on Monday come hell or high water.
They have the Illinois health secretary admit this on video, read carefully some of you. If you were in hospice and obviously close to passing from other health issues and then test positive for CV you will be marked a a corvid death even though that was NOT the under lying cause of death. I wish I could link from this divice, but video was shown on Ingram angle....no strawmen there...hhhmmmm Sorry Illinois not Virginia as I stated...but the video is out there to watch
I will most likely go to the bar and have drinks/eat if any open near me. I am healthy. I have not been sick since I had a mild cold last fall. I want to support local business. I am leery because they will be packed with people who are chomping at the bit to get out and have a social life again, but I'm not so worried that I won't go.
ugh, you're right that place is awful. They opened one up here last summer to much hype; wife and I went one time- only time I can remember ever not finishing my meal due to lack of quality; it was so bland and greasy. Finished our drinks and left. I think the one here stopped doing carry out and completely closed at the beginning of this month. They had a sign out front for carry out but I noticed it was down the other day.
