Just meant there's gonna be more and more buisness that are gonna haveta do something. A few here and there will face the heaviest consequences but it enough go on together will be interesting to see how it gets handled. Not so much what goes on with the virus, moreso the people getting tired of the lockdown stuff.

Theres a bar up in northern part of state that tries opening following pretty much every regulation that's been set and the cops got called and busted that up. They are now suing the govenor and starting a legal battle. These are also places that have to sit there goin bankrupt all while watching Walmart and other big box stores continue with buisness as usually. Theres more foot traffic in those places probably in one day then there is in a week in the smaller places. Alot in this area weren't doin great before this all started and I'm guessing many won't make it. Right now we're looking at end of May for shutdown but already talks of pushing for June.

Also doesn't help being 20 mins from MO and it being open.

Pretty much. The people here getting on the news and local gov for giving this lady a warning need to look at themselves.

I consider myself lucky that not much as really changed, but this is a small rural community. The smaller cafes and such are losing everything. Even tho theres still carry outs allowed those places miss out on alot of that buisness.

dont your breath for a vaccine, this country cant afford to wait for one either ... it may happen .. it may not happen ... even if it does, I know I will NOT be the first in line for it .... let the libs/dems/globalists try it first and see if they turn green or into a zombie ... I havnt had a vaccine in over 40 years, no flu shots either (only 40-60% effective anyways) I havnt had a cold in years, and no flu since even longer ... .... if its viable and effective at a high percentage, I will consider it however ..

it's not a false dichotomy. We are likely years away from a vaccine- if ever. I am wholly cognizant of our situation being fluid- first we were told we had nothing to worry about, then that 2 million of us were going to die, and now we're told something around 200-500k. All that is fluid- but what is not fluid is the fact that businesses can't survive for long on partial openings. Certainly not small businesses which are the lifeblood of our economy.

If the states continue to follow Fauci INC's guidance and not open things up based on faulty models and without balancing the socioeconomic needs of the 80% of people who have almost nothing to worry about in regards to this virus against the 20% or so who do; then we as a nation are doomed. Doomed. Our country cannot survive much longer by printing digital money and forcing people to stay home while they can't pay for the roof over their heads and pay for groceries on their credit cards at 20% interest rates.

Not to mention the burden these states that are opening (or never closed) will be forced to bear; subsidizing the states that do not. Our Union cannot operate under completely different socioeconomic zones of state laws and economic systems. That's not Federalism; that's a (small c) confederation of nation states. You are already seeing it- red states opening, blue states staying closed and demanding more federal assistance. People are going to lose their bleeping minds, with massive social unrest to follow. This is what scares me, much more so than seeing a few hundred thousand people die- the death of the Republic.

Probably because I am sober; but I can't tell if you're being facetious.

I'm sorry, but did Witchmer really get a Mini-Me ASL interpreter? The freak not only looks just like a smaller version of the Guvnah; she's even wearing the exact reverse of her outfit (black over blue/blue over black.) I can't stop watching that chick "translate"- she made that angry vomit face/gesture (1:12 in) like 7 times in today's presser. I was dying laughing.

Wait... you’re saying google, YouTube, Facebook, and twitter aren’t good sources of information? Who woulda thought

Some of the things I see on Facebook that people actually share, like, and believe is just comical.

Also when you post the weekly unemployment numbers please give it a subtract 1 from the total. Even in Covid job market, my Daughter found a job with a start-up.

What if we don’t have one of those near us? If I have to travel all the way MN to collect, will you throw in a day of fishing?

I won’t be. Not for health concerns but because the tax rate has gone nuts. The city of Little Rock increased the food tax to 11%. Add non-alcoholic beverages and it is an additional 4%. Alcohol adds and additional 8%. We did take out for Mother’s Day. Cost of food for my family of five, $44. Packaging fee for take out, $3. Taxes; $9. Tip on takeout $5. Total $61 on a takeout meal. Three months ago all three taxes only added 8.5% to a restaurant bill. Government never wastes a good crisis to increase its power or tax revenue. Guess which political party has controlled the mayor’s office for almost 30 years?

Well, in my adventures in over-glorified day care., the two classrooms across the hall from me were shutdown on Monday because the kids of the positive parent were in that room. I have only been teaching that group of kids 4 times per week for the last three weeks including Wednesday and Friday. It is good thing I have over 200 hours of unused sick leave to burn.

On the plus side two of the four adults in those rooms have tested negative. Two more still waiting on results.
