not to be a Debbie Downer, but that mask is one of the ones that has the vent and people here are freaking out about it because it allows "too much air to be expelled"

    I crap you not.

Yeah the vents allow things to escape, but inhales are protected.

Bought these when I was tearing out carpet in the finished attic.

If anyone ever tries to explain such to me in person I'll kindly let them know that my mask protects me which in turn protects them, while their mask only protects me, but not them.

Might as well wrap your head in single ply toilet paper now that it is readily available again.

So people exposed to themselves are contracting it more than those forced to go to work?

Should have made it 2-4 weeks avoiding news.....

bahahaha, I laughed at all 3 of your last posts.
You know the Murder Hornets will be worst in August/September, brother.

I literally had a guy threaten to go to OSHA b/c we were issuing those valved N-95 masks. I about slapped the crap out of him. And I was standing there without a mask.

Didn't those numbers also come back that due to NYC residence running they were the ones that seeded most cases across the country?

We found out last night that an employee at the Kroger we buy groceries from tested positive. The last time the employee worked was Saturday. When was my wife there? Saturday, with our oldest, and again Tuesday. Only about 1/4 of the employees were wearing masks the last time I was there. I am guessing that at least half of them are infected and don’t have symptoms yet.

Do not be an idiot, wear a mask if you are out in public, especially where crowds have to gather. You don’t see the talking idiots in press conferences wearing them because they love the sound of their own unmuffled, off key -sounds -like-a-drowning-cat voices. As annoying as it is and as stupid as it looks, the masks are probably helping.

I wear one everyday while at the hospital. It is not about protecting me, it is about protecting others who are more vulnerable. If everyone would do it, most people could probably safely good back to work and some restrictions could go away. Stupidity of people is prolonging this unnecessarily.

April unemployment was 14.7%. Final numbers were 20.5M jobs lost in The month. Hrly earnings up nearly 5%. U6 participation rate should be about 62.6m.

Hell those people would really freak out down here. The mask thing really hasn't taken hold. There's few places that push it but for most part nobody says anything.

Those that are wearing them have good variety tho. Have seen everything from the mask you screw canisters too down to pulling shirt up over mouth. Kinda confused about the shortage talk tho. Few stores been into have thousands on shelf for sale. Kinda weird little rural towns are stocked up but that might be why too. There's probably as many members on her as population of two "bigger" towns here.

I was notified earlier today that the parent of one of the kids in this crapfest of a daycare that I “volunteered” for, has tested positive. Supposedly, the kid has only been here one day since April 22, but that doesn’t mean anything with a two week incubation period before symptoms show. Since I am the “PE teacher” I see every freaking kid.

In keeping with the original theme of this thread, start the pools. I am sure I will have it by the end of the month. I am taking the 24th. That is oldest son’s birthday.
