Speaking of ... Look into the company's ,such as Tractor supply, that are looking for 5,000 employees across the country and having a difficult time getting hires. How many are getting the same results?
It's tricky, many businesses will go under and this jobs technically lost. The macro economics are ****: rates- ****, WTI- ****, initial jobless claims slowing but ****... Crystal ball: I'd say we have another 15m losses to go, esp with the second wave. Global recession keeps economic recovery surpressed for 6-18mths. *Barring war or anarchy and total supply chain melt down* We have some logrithmic recovery over 24mths... Maybe 15-25% (of 45-50m) gone permanently, others may be years from recreation. Black swans/variables Global political (in)stability, International control of pandemic (if India flairs up-bad), Vaccine, Innovation that arises, Efficiency gains (balance sheet - office/property reductions, capital, sga, goodwill will grow VERY slowly), Etc
I'm a Democrat who did not receive a stimulus check, has never even filed for unemployment and paid off my student loans. My wife, same story. We've also kept fourteen employees paid without any assistance. Those same employees kids all received age appropriate STEM games and other various educational tools over the last month. But I guess we are nothing but baby killers even though we have fostered a bakers dozen of kids that were in the system and had little chance of being adopted due to their age, paid for all their continuing education as well be it trade school or college. Thank god we are all socialists bc it's not like we prospered through capitalism to fund all that.
To me political leanings are local, have you watched the national news when Oklahoma makes it!? It's always some holier than thou bible thumping Republican caught with his pants down smoking weed and underage boys or committing some other heinous criminal act. Sheet, these Republicans out here tried to get us to vote in favor of letting the Chinese change the wording to our state constitution in their benefit. Vote for character not tribe.
No party affiliation at this point. Never been on unemployment in my 43 years. Neither myself or my wife qualify for covid cash, in fact neither did our two children as they also phased them out because we are over the cap. The idea that Republicans are all hard working and Democrats are all free loaders is plan nonsense. I can show you white trash that would sell their first born and allow their trailers to get repoed before they voted blue and they dont work a day in month. Sent from my SM-G950U1 using Tapatalk
Look, I hate the GOP and DNC as much as you do. You know who else does? Donald J. Trump. The Ds national platform is to open the borders, allow abortion up to and after a live birth, outlaw and even confiscate most (really all) privately owned/held firearms, force people to violate their faith or cease free commerce, and give "free" healthcare to anyone who manages to step foot onto our land -and- take a lot more of my hard-earned personal wealth in order to pay for all of that... Honestly, while the Rs national platform over promises and woefully under delivers; at least I didn't have to put up with most of the rest of that bulljive. I don't care much what any of them say, I care how they vote. I get maybe 60% of I want with the Rs. I get 100% of what I don't want with the Ds. If that makes me a lemming, then I'll see you all at the bottom of the cliff.
Yep, still Covid free and clueless on what has happened the past week. Decided last Thursday night to shut the news off and mostly watched TV shows and a bit of mushroom hunting. Amazing I survived without 24 hours news feeds. First bit of news I have heard was a coworker told me this afternoon that they dropped the case on Flynn. Aside from that I have no idea what Trump said/did or anyone else for that matter. It was actually quite nice
