The last two months I have been shooting 6-7 days a week, probably averaging 70-80 arrows a day, sometimes double that much. That being said, I have a ton of room for improvement. I need to improve my groups by at least 40% for me to feel comfortable come hunting season. Making a bow change this year....
Yeah I work! Lol! I just love shooting my bow that much, I make the time to fit it in my everyday schedule. The club I belong to is a 15 minute drive from the house. There are times I shoot the courses a couple times a day!
I've shot some, but not much. Simply not making the time is all. I'm VERY busy right now (actually, there's not much time when I'm not lately), and it just has taken a back seat.
I wont look at my bow til late July or so. I love to hunt, but I shoot my bow because I have to. I am planning on getting more serious with the tuning process this year though.
I put a new string on my main bow, so I shot a few times dealing with that. I had some dilusions about taking the bow out to fill my 2nd turkey tag, so I started getting my back-up tuned up. However, killing the 1st turkey would have probably helped things. Other than that, no shooting. When the weather first broke I shot my longbow some jsut because it was nice to be outside, but haven't shot that lately either.
Busy, busy, busy, BUT, I still shoot at least a couple times a week. I feel relaxed, when I'm getting a chance to shoot, it helps me chill out a little and forget about all the worries of every day life.... That being said, I've been working 10-12 hours a day on the house, plus my full-time job, plus taking care of kids, plus the other normal housecare stuff. To say the least, I'm ready for a break and pulling that bow off the hook and flinging a few arrows is just what the doctor ordered....
I have been shooting twice a week. As a matter of fact, I think once I finish making breakfast I'll head over to the archery club for a few hours
The past couple years I shot every week year-round, this year just too many irons in fire, haven't had the bow out since early April.
I was shooting 3-4 times a week at least....that was until about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I have done something to my left shoulder and now I cannot even lift my bow or hold it to make a draw, heck, it hurts to even raise my arm by itself with it straight out in front of me. I am guessing I did something to my rotator cuff but I just don't know what or how??? I am trying to let it rest....as much as I can anyway. It sure is a painful sog!!
The last time I shot my bow was last week of April after not recovering my tom. Too busy crappie fishing and bowfishing (with my non-hunting bow so it doesn't count.)
I shoot around 5 days a week for approximately 15-20min each time. I just want to keep the strength up and keep practicing the routine. I need to get outside and shoot longer distances more. That is my biggest drawback.
We practice by shooting six arrows a day unless the weather is really, really horrible, like high winds or a downpour. We're lucky 'cause we can practice in our backyard. It's more of a burden for people who have to drive some distance. May The Sheep Be With You
not a single arrow since mid Feb....just needed a break from it all..I need a new string and cables, new sight, and put my rest back on, I'll get to it in July hopefully, $ is a little tight.
