Lebron is not a leader he's just a player an all itself player nothing more. As he said in his latest interview

"Whatever the results, I'm going to be satisfied with that". Some of you guys are just naive and can't remember his history of play during 4th Quarters.

No matter what happens he'll always be a follower and not a true leader on the court.

There was plenty of stories out about Jordan azz-hole arrogance. Yet there are stories of him at pickup basketball games where he bought kids shoes and clothing and turned his back on family members in time of need.

Heck I know an NFL Player that was sued because he bought his fiance mother a car. She wanted a new one and since he bought her a car the court seen to it that bought her a new one for the next 3 years.

You can't help everyone, but we do take a dim view of those that help themselves to more and giving less to others.

    Good Call Vito..

Cleveland's record the last 2 years Lebron was there 66-16 and 61-21. Cleveland's record since Lebron left 19-62 and 21-45. Team's don't fall apart when "bit" players leave.

Your definition of a bit player is just wrong. You want to call him selfish, crybaby, quitter or sore loser go ahead but a bit player he is not.

Until Lebron wins "not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, not six" and so forth...why would anyone even compare him to Michael Jordan at this point?

Lebron is an awesome player but has a ways to go to be put at that level IMO...not saying he won't get there

IMO there will never be another Jordan. Jordan made everyone around him better. Remember when he retired the first time, Pippen and Co. won nothing. It was'nt until Mike returned that the Bulls won again. Yes he was arrogant but he earned that right by being the best to EVER play the game. The same cannot be said about LeBron. He's not a "bit" player, but he's no MJ either.

Just to clarify for some that may need it. A bit player is someone who has a small and unimportant role.

I agree 1 million percent he is no MJ.

I agree. Comparing them at this point is stupid.

Whoa, lets not get crazy. Pippen was first team all NBA, first team all defense, all star game MVP, and finished second to some guy named Olajuwon in MVP voting. Grant was also second team all defense that year. Hell, BJ f'n Armstrong made the all star team. They won 55 games (second most in the east) and lost in 7 games to the Knicks (second round) who went on to the finals. If it weren't for one of the worst calls in NBA history (the phantom call with 2 seconds left in game 5), the Bulls would have went up 3-1 and probably won that series.

Obviously they didn't win a championship, but that is still very impressive despite not having the best player of all time. Note Cleveland's record post LeBron that GA posted. I'm not saying LeBron is Jordan, but lets give the man his due.

Matt, I'm not talking about individual accompolishments. I'm talking championships. Without MJ, the Bulls could not win.

Also, I'm not trying to knock on Pippen. Scottie was a good player in his own right. But without the big piece, they could not get over the top. It probabally had a lot to do with that Olajuwon guy too. The Rockets were just too strong.

My point was there was plenty of other talent on the team. They won 55 games without MJ! That is incredible, and they were one win away from the conference finals. No they didn't win a championship, but few teams do. Some of the greatest players in history never won a championship, and they were on good teams.

Didn't the bulls also have a guy by the name of Will Purdue as well. If you can not win with Will, you are not going to win with anyone.

First name that jumped out at me was Tony Romo (sadly). He's a guy with "on paper" one of the most talented teams in the NFL year after year and hasn't gotten it done. Whether it has to do with him directly or not, he is the QB of the team and his name is associated with the good and the bad. He seems next on the list as the athlete that can't win the big one.

You obviously don't know a whole lot about basketball. He's a follower yet he took a scrub team to 66 wins. Wouldn't a follower have sucked as well? He's a follower yet he dominated this entire year and led his team night in and night out.

You're obviously naive and can't see the fact that when it comes to 4th quarters and game winning shots, he's got a better % of makes than Kobe freaking Bryant. Yet Kobe is considered one of the best closets ever.

Vito is spot on in this thread.

And for "usfan", saying he's selfish because of the decision, he's anything but a selfish guy. Have you heard about the bike-athon he does in Cleveland-Akron every year where he rides for charity and gives away bikes to all the kids. He's also built like 8 parks in the Cleveland area for the kids.

LeBron has received more hate for "the decision" than Kobe ever did for his rape case.

Isn't that crazy? So let that be a lesson to all the kids out there. Rape is bad, but don't ever have a tv special to raise a million dollars for kids while announcing what team you are going to play for. Its like buying your ticket to hell.

Its just a different day an age with media coverage. On the scale of arrogance and selfishness, LeBron probably ranks around 5937456583958 in the history of pro athletes.
