After Lebron wins his first championship (probably tonight). Who is next in line that needs to win a championship to enhance their legacy?

I personally don't care how many championships he wins. His legacy will always be tainted for me because of "The Decision". Did we really need an hour and a half show to announce what everyone knew, he was going to Miami? Very self serving. Quite unforgiveable.

Honestly, I think its still LeBron. I don't think one championship gets him off the hook. The expectations were so high for him from the beginning, and then it got worse after going to Miami. I think he has to win a second championship before you can even look at the next person in line who hasn't won one.

Even though Rose and Durant are young, I think they are going to start to feel the pressure every season. I'm sure most would discount them from the list saying they're young, but look how many times thats happened. There have been many players people thought would win a championship, or get back to the finals for another shot, and it just doesn't happen.

I wish Steve Nash would get a shot. He's not the guy to lead a team anymore. He would have to go to a really good team and play less minutes. Kind of like what Malone and Payton tried to do with the Lakers. It seems like the easy way out at the time, but no one will remember that in 20 years.

    If you're talking NBA...

    Rose
    Howard

    If not....
Romo (coming from a dallas fan this hurts, because it's completely true)
    Cutler
    Vick

A tv special? Unforgivable? This baffles me. Of all the other actions that are forgiven among players, things that actually harm other people, and fans want to focus on a tv special. Get a life and get over it. They are just athletes.

I agree. Plus he raised a 1M bones for the Boys Club....which is pretty cool.

Tacky? Sure. Arrogant ? No doubt. Not unforgivable. Just don't care as much, dude!

How many other free agents hold a TV special to announce where they are signing? As for the stuff he does off the court good for him. But you know as well as I do many others do good as well and it goes unrecognized. One of the Eagles who was blind in one eye created an eyemobile and went from school to school in the Philly area to give kids whose parents could not afford eye exams free one. He did this to prevent what happened to him. He went blind from an undiagnosed infection in his eye when he was a youth. And there are countless others who do good and do not want the recognition. People like LeBron want you to know what they have done. They don't do it for the kids or others. Its to get attention on themselves.

I'm glad you know LeBron so well.

Again, I'll go with who cares.

You're making too much noise. Kindly, stop talking.

He did it. Everyone hated on him for it. Chill. It's over.

(Not that we're keeping score - but a handful of free eye exams does not equate to 1M for BCA)

All good points, but the one that irks me is the comment he made in an interview about the Cavs.....

I will never surrender and I promise to do whatever it takes to help the Cavaliers get a championship. He's human and he exude the trait of many.

Unlike Jordan making a bad team into Champions, Lebron is just a bit player. Nothing more than a bit player.

I call him a bit player because of his ability to just give up or his lack luster play when the going good isn't going his way.

when he's not winning he just seems disinterested to continue playing. He did it Cleveland and he's done it Miami. Jordan never gave up in a game while he played.

He stayed in the spirit he inspired his team mates to show up or sit down...nice keeping eye out now I must go to to the gym...

    till later.

Someone asked my opinion, and I kindly answered. If you don't like my opinion...too bad for you. Last time I checked its still a free country. But don't criticize because I answered. I don't like players who have a me first attitude. That's why I never liked Terrell Owens(even when he was on the Eagles, and we all saw how that went), Chad Johnson, LeBron James, and Sidney Crosby(whiner) to name a few. Last time I checked these were all TEAM sports. Not me sports.

I'm sorry - I thought I was talking to someone who'd been watching the 2012 playoffs. My bad!

So anyone who's not Jordan, the best player ever, is a bit player? Got it.

If people would stop comparing LeBron to Jordan, and just appreciate the dude for the exceptional talent he is, they would enjoy it more.

There is no doubt he's talented. I just don't like the off court BS. Unfortunately this creeps into the minds of people when judging.

Since everyone likes to compare LeBron to Jordan...

Jordan was one of the most arrogant, if not the most arrogant, player in NBA history. He just played in a different era. You didn't know every thing about a player back then. Reporters weren't tattle tales, there were no blogs, ESPN hadn't become TMZ yet, etc. Jordan has always been known as a real a-hole off the court, only he actually negatively affected other peoples' lives. So far, LeBron hasn't hurt anyone...that we know of.
