Who has ever shot at a big game animal while its laying down??

    OH...I read the thread title as Has anyone shot while an animal is "laying IT down" which I found an amusing subject...and i thought, Ya...I shot that one buck seconds after he slid back off that doe...now after reading the posts...I see I made an error in reading the ?.:)

    ...on that note, only laying down shot I have taken was on a doe who already had arrow in spine - doesn't really count - otherwise, no laying down shots.

    I have shot many deer that were laying down. However, I can't remember a single one that hadn't been shot moments before, while they were standing up. :confused:

    Makes me wonder................. How many of you have shot deer while you were laying down!!?? :eek:

    I had a doe back a few years ago that came in and bed down about 10 yards in front of me perfect shot just waiting to be taken and so I took it. the shot was FUBAR. String hit my sleeve (no arm guard) and used the wrong pin but she did jump up and run of really quick like.
