1 loss LSU (Arky) wins SEC championship
    Alabama with 1 loss (LSU)
1 loss OU wins Big 12 championship (Okie St)
    Boise St. goes undefeated
Wisconsin gets Zooked, but wins Big 10 championship
    Clemson goes undefeated

LSU vs either OU (most likely) or Wisconsin, Boise would get shafted, Clemson wouldn't be considered. Of course this is how I think the BCS would do it, not how I think it should be in the scenario.

I changed it to make Clemson go undefeated, just to make it more interesting.

Now that would make it interesting. I say it'd be LSU vs Clemson then. LSU will get a lot of credit in the computers with its early season schedule as long as it won the SEC and I think they'd edge in over OU.

LSU loss to Arky, Bama loss to LSU...who wins the west?

SEC champion vs Big 12 champion or possibly Big 10 champion...regardless of 1 loss vs undefeated. College football is a business and a Bama/Wisconsin/LSU/OU following brings in GOBS more money than a clemson or boise st. Not to mention a 1 loss of the teams mentioned above IMO are still more impressive than a no loss ACC or out west schedule.

An SEC west team WILL make the championship, just a matter of who they play at this point. Even if they deserved it, I don't think a second SEC team would ever get considered just because of the uproar from the rest of the nation. It'd be who I mentioned above IMO.

how come nobody has picked Bama yet? They are at least equal to LSU. Richardson is a beast.

In the scenario Hook laid out Bama would not be considered because they didn't win the SEC.

I think Bama is hands down the best team in the nation thus far. Defense is as good if not better IMO than LSU, and Richardson is the best RB in the nation. QB is their wildcard but has played excellent so far this year.

LSU's big wins had some flaws. They gave up MASSIVE amounts of yards against WVU, they just didn't capitalize. The Miss St game was a field goal fest that was overall unimpressive.

Bama absolutely destroyed Florida, Arkansas, and Penn St. They have yet to look weak in any way shape or fashion this season thus far.

My question for Hook is why would LSU win the west in his scenario? His scenario leaves a three way tie for the west, who would win it?

If you are asking me who makes the BCS championship outside of Hook's scenario, I say Bama vs Wisconsin

Well you can assume another loss for Arkansas in his scenario and then LSU wins the tie break of Bama. That's what I assumed anyway.

    LSU destroyed Oregon.

LSU destroyed WVU in Morgantown. Yeah they gave up massive amounts of yards, but how many points did WVU put up?

The Miss. St game was unimpressive, but it was in Starksville.

Let's assume Arky loses another game.

In that case, LSU would hold the head to head against Bama in the tie breaker, thus win the West.

Gotcha. Yeah in that case LSU takes the cake handily regardless who you pick to play them.

I can't wait for November 5, I am dubbing it the Pre National Championship. The two best teams square off, one eliminating the other from the championship. Playing at Auburn won't be easy for Bama either this year though.

Does anyone feel Boise St would make it in ANY scenario this year?

I think for Boise to make it they need to be undefeated and then have ever other top team have 2 losses.

Only if the SEC champion has 2 losses and everyone else has a loss.

one of the bigger criteria the BCS uses to rank teams is strength of schedule. Boise never has the same amount of quality opponents as the rest of the top 5 teams do. I agree with GABowhunter, that they will have to win all their games and then every other team has to loose 2, which is never gonna happen.

    Who wins the west if...

LSU looses to Arkansas, Hogs run the table from here out
    Arkansas lost to Bama
    Bama looses to LSU

I don't think this will play out like this tho, my money is on Bama to beat LSU, which in essence should be the NC game.
