With the weather being so wet for so long this spring, crops in my area were put out at the very last minute. Looks like im going to be hunting near fields that are going to be out, way way later than the norm. not sure how this will affect my hunting just yet, but it will be interesting. The corn and beans are not even thinking of browning here yet, at least the fields i hunt around. anyone else with the same situation?

Yeah, My uncles mother passed away, so i just tagged along with him, and flushed some birds. 2 of the biggest geese i have ever seen dropped. It was fun and nice to get him away from everything

I offered the farm my mother to keep the corn in this year in the back field:p

It's been a wet late summer here, I hope it gets a bit wetter, I want the corn in until Dec 1st:D

Beans for the most part around here are still pretty green. Corn came along nicely this year, and we actually got two cuts of hay (grass not alfalfa) on our property this summer. As long as the corn is picked by Nov.1 like it was last year, we should be golden. The corn is doing MUCH better this year than last.

It's really a mix here. There are some very green bean fields and some very yellow bean fields. Most of the corn is drying out, but I have seen a field or 2 that is still green. But, by now the corn harvest is generally going strong but that I'm aware of, no one is cutting yet. It's made the dove hunting really tough but I'm kind of excited about hunting standing corn.........Have a couple of tactics I'm gonna try...

We still had corn on our farm the last week of November last year. It seemed like the deer had to move very little for cover or food. Deer activity and harvest numbers were down from years past for us. I was hoping that it would be out earlier this year, but it looks like another year of hunting around standing corn.

Dove season was a bust here due to nearly zero crop harvests. No fields to have a shoot in. I didn't even go once.

The beans are still green and the corn is in that halfway stage, we still have a while.

We've got a little bit of yellowing in the bean fields around here and in MD, but for the most part they are still very green and getting hammered by the deer. The corn probably still has another good month as well.
