Some really funny ones on here so far. Have to name them when you talk about them as much as we do right?

    Local Legend aka LL
Stickers - who doesn't have one of these?
Gutter - 27" MB with last 6" bladed - sheds from this spring
    The Boss
    The Club
    Crabby

Just those who have unique characteristics, I don't name deer just to say I named them. But we've had:

    The Dark Knight
    Big Mike
    Lefty
    The Hulk
    Vegas
    Momma
    Socks

Naming your bucks is half the fun of hunting them.

This year I'm after a couple bucks close to home:
    Snake Eyes
    Tank Johnson
    Pistol Pete
    Mac

Heading down to the lease this weekend to hunt and finally check my trail cam. Hopefully I've got a few that show up. I'm still after Dope Ear if he's around, and I'm holding out hope that Big Rob shows back up if he's alive.

I usually give them a nickname based on a feature as well.

I cant say that I name MY deer, because I dont personally own any deer ;)

We do name deer based on unique characteristics or locations.

It's a lost easier for you and the guys you hunt with to identify a deer if you have a name that all are familiar with associated with that deer. I think it also adds something to the WHOLE hunting experience, with THAT particular deer, especially if you're watching him for a few seasons.

Generally just name the shooters with a few exceptions.

    Clunker - extremely heavy 10+
Twin Towers - 150+/- almost perfect typical 8 point
Elliot - 1 antler (Open Season)
    Split Brow - obvious
Tall Boy - very tall 9
Double White - Two white patches on his chest
    Janky - funky/junky rack
Wrong Way - Antlers point forward off his main beam
Lucky - well you can guess

    That is this year's crew.
