Who else has shut it down at work for the year?

Sunday is my last day of the year. 11 days off then come back on the 4th. Best part is holidays fall where we get two 48 hour checks on days off so no messing with UE......

 

I am off from last sat to Jan 14th, after this week the steelhead are wishing they stayed in the lake....

Kansas has some pretty good bucks and there are a few shooters coming in during hunting hours I am hoping for the best :D

 

Work never stops here, people are always acting like morons.

Friday is last day until Jan 2.

 

The cows don't get the holidays off so neither do I. 24/7, 365 days a year my job Is.

 

I have an interview for a management position in my company tomorrow, so prepping for that.

Have all my other work done that needed to be done before year's end. I'll be in the 24th and 26th (saving vacation for my Colorado Elk hunt in 2013), then taking the kids for a long weekend away.

 

I'm slow at the moment and have spent far too much time reading the gun control debate. I have a proposal due the 4th, & a few minor issues to pop up here & there but otherwise there's not a whole lot going on. This is always a slow time of year. Lots of people take time off now.

 

I've got one more day then I'm catching a flight home for a couple weeks, starting to get itchy!

 

I shut it down for the year when I was 58.... that was 10 years ago. LOL The office is closed. LOL God I love being a slug.

 

I "shut it down" on November 1st. Been procrastinating actually closing everything up like I should since then. Ya know.... that deer hunting thing gets in the way. Finally put the last treatment on the greens on today and blew out the irrigation system. That's about it in my book untill I start up again in February.

 

i'm on vacation from yesterday the 20th to the 31st.


it feels good to have some time off to go visit family. The wife's family (most of her family is coming over) is coming over to our house on Sat 22nd. Then we are going to my sisters house on the 26th then to her brothers house in NY. North East of buffalo on the 28th til 29th
