Curious, being a baseball fan. I called a Houston/Cleveland ALCS and a Cubs/Dodgers NLCS. Luck would have it I picked Cleveland and Chicago to face off again in the WS. Who you got Houston or LA? I want to see Houston pull it off, the city could use it after the hurricane they suffered this year. On top of that Houston's fielding ability is unparalleled, and Altuve and Correa can turn it on... But LA is a powerhouse.... their batting order is absolutely intimidating and they have Kershaw and Jansen In the end I think I am gonna have to pick the Dodgers!
Judge, Sanchez, Bird, Gardner, Servi Judge, Sanchez, Bird, Gardner, Servino etc..... They have a pretty good list of homegrown players. Every team "buys" players. I think the Yankees stack up pretty good with people that came up through the system (with more to come in the near future). Who have they bought? Holliday? Ellsbury? Who have seen maybe an at bat in the post season each?
I did not say the yankees did not have a farm system however you can not deny the list of players the yankees have bought over the years.
Gotta go with the Astros. Hated to see the tribe fall to the Yankees. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I believe they posted a stat last night that the home teams wins 80+% of the time. And the Astros were 100% at home...I have to give it to the Astros. Dodgers probably made a mistake by trying to pitch their closer for 6 outs
I knew it was coming. I was in the minority that wanted him gone. I think he is a good manager and did a good job (especially this year). Players coach and knows the game. Not that easy on the NY stage either. Wish the could lure Mattingly to take his place.
Being from southeast texas, I've been an astros fan my whole life. Last nights game ran me through the emotional ringer. I hope the Astros win but the Dodgers are a very good team. The teams have equally dangerous lineups but the dodgers have the advantage in pitching.
a. He is managing. b. He won 3 straight division titles and 90 + win seasons with the Dodgers. With the most toxic clubhouse and front office in baseball. Think he would be a perfect fit in NY and well received.
Yep. Hence bye bye Girardi. 1 in 10 years. I just think Mattingly would be perfect fit and good for these young hitters. Whoever they get I hope they let the lineup know that you can't strike out 2,678,241 times in the post season and win. I love how they watch the first pitch get me over fastball for strike one and then swing at sliders 6 inches in the dirt and high fastballs at their eyebrows.
pulling for the Astros. I'm a Tigers fan; and I want to see JV win a ring. I was just talking to a buddy of mine- I think that JV is the third-best RH pitcher of our generation behind Pedro (we're both born in 77- Nolan Ryan was too old to compare) and Clemens. My buddy thinks Schilling is better. I agree he's close but JVs a more complete pitcher- minus the rings. JV was straight jobbed last year on the Cy. He wins a ring and he might climb atop of the mountain.
