When gas prices go down? Dropped nearly 80 cents.

I bet it was that snowden guy

Wasn't everyone saying that gas prices were going to be over $5 this summer...again? Every year prices go up in the spring, everyone freaks out and get scared that prices will go over $5, then the prices slowly go back down again. I expect the same thing to happen next March.

I guess that's a benefit to driving a diesel, the price pretty much stays the same. Now if diesel would drop 80 cents, I'd be happy. Lowest place in my area right now is $3.63 which is pretty good for diesel in these parts!

Yup that's the lowest I've found here, majority of the other stations are 3.79 or 3.99 for diesel.

Not sure where you live, but according to the map I don't see prices like that anywhere. Maybe they made an error when putting the prices in the computer :)

I hope the trend continues, but my guess is we are in for another jump around the 4th of July holiday. That will be while we are heading on a 3000 plus mile trip to Yellowstone.

$4.04 here in Chicago, I miss the Bush era $2.38 gas that Pelosi and Reid went all over the news saying was government extortion.

They went down a bit but the yearly average has increased every year for decades now. Whether it truly affects the price or not, the Exxon refinery that was down is back up and running, BP is expanding refineries in Indiana, and we got a supply from the gulf recently.

It was over $3 during the Bush era

Pretty sure it was during the Bush era that gas prices became this high, and they have maintained over the years.

It was bush most true statement of his presidency.

Which was, I can't do anything about high gas prices.

You probably can't lower gas prices, but you can certainly slow the growth of them by not black balling refineries and allowing drilling on our own lands.

It is still over $3.50 here...still don't hear any media crying about gas prices like they did when Bush was in office. I wonder why that is [IMG]
