To me, the Panthers look to be headed down the same road as the Culpepper led Vikings (amoung others)...great record and tons of stats...but without the playoff experience they are vulnerable.

This times a thousand. I'm not a panthers fan because I despise cams arrogant, pompous azz. I don't care who beats them as long as some body beats them and they don't make it to the super bowl. Can you imagine how arrogant he'd be if they won....

Anyone can beat them. They are by far invincible. Don't get me wrong, they are playing good football and being undefeated at this point is a good accomplishment. But, IMO they aren't that scary of an undefeated team.

Be forewarned I'm a Panthers Homer living in NC, but to say that is like saying a woman is only a little pregnant. Its all or nothing. They have won 18 straight NFL games dating back to last December. Based on history that is the greatest NFC record of all time, only the 4th time any team has been 14-0 ever and nobody at the beginning of the season saw it coming, not even the panthers faithful. Which before you laugh do exist having been a fan since 1995 and my kids are huge fans and so our their friends. If a team played the cleveland browns 18 straight times it would be hard to beat them 18 time without losing. keep on downplaying their accomplishments because at the end of the day its fun watching for now. Keep watching your scary defeated team, for now I'll enjoy watching the worst undefeated team of all time.

Thats not true at all. They locked up a playoff spot of no less then #2 and won the NFC south for the 3rd straight year and still trounced the Falcons 38-0. Rivera has them focused. I'm sorry but shutting out an NFL team is very hard. Not to mention the Giants were supposed to be meaningless and look how that turned out. I think the remaining two opponents would love to be the spoilers and therefore the games are not meaningless at all.

You do know they beat Seattle in Seattle and trounced the Pack for about 50 minutes if not for a furious comeback attempt from Rodgers it would have been an epic smackdown. They have beat ALL the teams put on their schedule. This isn't college football based on style points and meaningless analysis. We will find out come playoff time.

Doesn't look to be lining up the best for Car. The way Seattle has been playing the last few weeks, I don't know if Carolina wants to face them in the Divisional round as likely to be the case.

Yep.. I'd be putting my money on Seattle if it unfolds that way.

nchunter... relax bro. Nobody is bashing the Panthers. They are a really good football team. Ya have to admit that they CAN be beat. Sorry man, they are just not invincible. If I were a Panthers fan, I'd be really concerned letting a pathetic Giants team come back on them like that just last week. And with the Seahawks in the rear view mirror? Yikes.

IMO the loss off Rawls will have a big impact on Seattle's chances of making a long playoff run. Their backup RBs are a big drop off from Rawls. Beastmode coming back to contribute is highly questionable. As great as he has been lately, Wilson will not likely be able to carry the entire offense versus the good defenses waiting for him in the post season. I like the Panthers to go to the Super Bowl.

I don't know Panthers without baseball bats on the field during warm ups may lead to lower intensity.:bigcry:

I'm a Homer so admittedly biased. But...

The Panthers are mostly the real deal...their D is pretty solid...though I hate the "bend but don't break mindset"...passing coverage has probably been their weakest point on defense..they kinda offset that with great recoveries on turnovers.

The offenses weakest points are Cam and to a lessor degree the receivers have been inconsistent. From second and third hand accounts about Cam specifically, I question how much of the success really shouldn't go to Shula, the coaches to call the plays and their ability to playdown Cams weaknesses and finally to a good variety of options credit to the rest of the offense being very capable...quarterback stats also indicate Can is overrated.

That said...there are very few NFL teams that have ever gone 14-0. The coaches have kept the team focused on the next game...and at this point I really do think they would be better off pulling back on the regular season games to heal up and get ready for the real tests starting with the playoffs.

as great of a season as the Panthers are having....I just think that the way the Seahawks and Cards are playing right now that either of those teams can and will beat Carolina even on the road...

granted the Panthers beat the Hawks earlier this season up in Seattle but the Hawks right now are a totally different team and are playing lights out from that 1st meeting

And the Cards are imho the most full rounded team on both sides of the ball, Offensively they are a defenses nightmare, and Defensively can shut any team down....

Honestly Carson Palmer is actually having a better season then the Dancing Cam but nobody is mentioning him in the discussion for League MVP
