Awe, after looking closer at pics of this guy, he had a really nice drooping drop tine off his right base just behind his right eye on July 5th but pics on July 11th show it missing...that sucks. It looks like it was a good three to four inches long and curving nicely around the contour of his head, it would have been pretty awesome by bow season had he kept it.
I'd share mine in a heartbeat if'n I ever get any. I haven't had one big one so far this year. Blessings...........Pastorjim
If I had a truly big deer on camera I might not post him, but until that happens I'll keep posting the ones I have.
I think it's hilarious that people think posting a picture of a giant deer jinxes them so they don't see it during the season... I think that the giant deer is smart and doesn't show himself all that often haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I used to be of the same opinion, sure it's probably silly but I can live with silly better than a regret.
I have been holding off on showing this guy, because I don't want guys lining the road trying to get a glimpse of him, but what the heck, Ill take the chance, I just have to show him off to someone!!!
Yes, that may be the best point made so far. I always enjoy sharing pics of any of the bigger bucks I get on camera, this is the first one I've pondered holding back. I may share this one at a later date after he's filled his head gear out a bit more and I get a better idea of what he's going to end up as. He looks like he's going to gain a few inches yet best I can tell. The latest pics on the card were on the 23rd and they were all from the back as he looked away from the camera. One was snapped just as he entered the frame so it got his right side, it's the one that looks like he probably busted off the ear guard. His main beams aren't crossed out in front yet like last year and they may not make it but he's quite a bit wider than last year and his right drop tine is eating up some growth on the right side while his huge split G4 is eating up some on the left side, surely between the two his mains won't wrap around as far as last year.
I just delete almost all my trail cam pictures after I view them. They pretty much are meaningless too me after I see them once. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I end up saving less than one percent of mine probably. I save a handful of the best bigger bucks for record purposes and a few of the nicer photogenic pics and that's it. I don't need to fill up ten hard drives a year with pics.
