One other thought ... she is just another junkie that died ... so do we pay tribute to .... what? Her Voice??? Her great example to kids?? The inner cities are loaded with them ... when they die, the story is just as sad ... but no one cares ...

@ Preacher Tony A lot of people have been touched by someone that abused drugs. But to turn a total blind eye on a drug abuser. All I can say is may it never touch you. If it has and this is how you are, then you are a lot colder than I am.

Meaning I think people should be locked up for protesting a murderers execution. To me Whitney went into the forest of entertainment did well. Then found a short cut through the woods and got lost. Even if she could see the road. The short cut seemed shorter than the long road to salvation.

Her lost is just as heart felt when Elvis died. The entire city of Memphis was shut down for over a week. An Entire city not for a drug addict....for an entertainer.

    hmmph..Maybe you are colder.

One other thought about those inner city youths....

were I live at in the rural mountainous area, I've had three co-workers sons and daughter to commit suicide because of drug abuse. A promising football player died from his first time experimenting with cocaine. Two teenagers in the next county died from substance abuse at 16 yrs of age.

What I'm saying is drug abuse isn't a urban, inner city problem it's happening everywhere around this country. there's no exclusionary zone to drug abuse. A friend of mind joined the Army to get away from her Drug abusing Mother.....

Her mother over dosed 2 weeks ago on the family farm among the horses in a pasture.

People help people on drugs because they feel a need to help others. Your statement sounds as if you're forced to help the helpless. One thing about me I don't do any thing i feel objectionable to. If I felt as you do. Hell i wouldn't do it or consider it.

When I was in the Navy i never look for a thank you when I got out. I looked for a fair chance to give those an opportunity, that i sacrifice my time and put my life on the line to ensure others to do as our fathers did, and you know what.

The people of today hate the military until they need their butts need saving. But it's their right. As much as it's yours to feel the way you do...

But as a pastor feeling so empty toward weak minded drug abuser is scary. Really scary...You should be providing strength. Not more abuse. Maybe I'm wrong, but even I think some killers makes mistakes. For me to say that...says a lot for me.

    Take care gotta run.

PT I like seeing this every now and again... I don't think his intention was to bring down Whitney or steer anyone away from grieving for her. I hate to say it but there are times I forget about what our armed services sacrifice for all of us here. And a friendly reminder like what PT posted is something that I think is needed. Whitney was an amazing person who's life had some unfortunate events and grieving for her is in no means bad. PT did nothing to deserve being talked down to on what he posted.

I don't think PT was talked down to. You see the same poster every time something like this happens. Yeah, we all get the point. There is also the point that another beautiful life was wasted with drugs and alcohol. The poster is in poor taste and is every time it circulates with someone else's face on it.

I knew the direction this thread would take before I opened it. I would be lying if I said I'm shocked I was right.

I had to laugh, mainly at the fact that you said you "work". Always a funny guy.

Yeah I giggle when I say it, too. Saying "work" is just easier than saying "sitting in my comfy office chair and telling people what to do".

If only I could get paid to do so.
If that whipping emoticon means I have a life, then you are correct. I will admit I check the forum occasionally outside of work since upgrading my phone. Just too lazy to post.

    This is most likely true.
